I have an old PC series system from DSC installed in my house. Its a very reliable system and is STILL alive and kicking. DSC is a great choice if you want something that will work and last.
Hiya, if you did want to add phone lines an ATA with a really basic SIP trunk could cost very little and enable automatic calls to your mobile or office number reporting security or fire alarms, zone info etc. if both panels can output serial data also, they can be hooked to raspberry pi’s to send SMS messages with the serial data (just like the old printers in panels that gave what we call an alarm ticket, shows area, zone, active troubles, time/date, etc) no PBX hardware needed. I’ve done this a few times so lmk if you want some help with that in the future!
I use the eyezon envisalink 4 for my alarm system it also can be connected to home automation it can also let you monitor it remotely or locally from your phone or a central station
Good choice on the system! I maintain a lot of these along with napco systems at my school board and the dsc systems have way less problems and you don't need to haul around an XP laptop to program them! the end of line problem is bad firmware usually
Have you experienced this problem with end of line ? I've given up on trying to figure it out as electrically it all seems fine and I have the option set to yes for end of line resistors
Have you considered microwave or combined sensors if the PIR sensor keeps triggering? I find heaters or even just natural heating and cooling of a room (e.g. sunlight shining in) can set off PIR sensors quite easily. Cool setup though!
I installed a few of these I can say the 32 had 2 pgm terms while I see this one has 4 pgm terms I love programming these especially with the laptop PS. Ip auto dialer.
if that was me i would add up all the wattage that the fire alarm and burgular alarm and placed power to these systems in a sealed room on a red fused spur like we have in the uk so you know these must not be switch of by accident a plug can al ways be pulled out if some thing fails on it . uk plugs are great as you have to pull striaght out if in a fused spur it will be hard wired where usa and canada plugs are easy to dislodge.

Same. But mine is a 90s series (Power832 series) of DSC alarm system (ADT registered).
I believe tyco used to own ADT (or a part of it) until recently.
DSC: the bosch of Canada
PRO TIP: Use a keyfob to disarm the system instead of an outdoor keypad, that's the remote for disarming and arming your system from outside.
There is no outdoor keypad it's inside. Keypad is used to disarm the security system the fob is used for the access control.
Your set up is really cool dude. Nice stuff! :D

@@nics-systems-electric I think it’s caused by a glitch in the panel firmware, I would disable, then reboot, then re enable and see if that does it.
Make sure you got the correct resistor 5.6k check section 013 make sure 1 is set to No and if you want double EOL make sure it’s set yes or no

I would if it became an issue however if the only times I have false alarms is when large objects fall over I'm not too worried
Smart system!
You should get an adt rx7c siren there extremely loud in my opinion
I like how you made a fire alarm and the security system and I like how the door shut’s
I love your videos keep up the great work
Thanks, will do!

Better system for residential and commercial use on both PowerSeries 1616/1832/1864 and the Neo HS 2XXX system
I have a request for question.
Could you add strobe lights for security alarm only?
Please keep updating about security alarm with strobe lights. 🥺👉🏻🚨
Nic you should make you key for bid arm the alarm you is the keypad input and the emergency output on the Aser controll panel
I see many places use this as in my area there are a lot of robberies so it works well for people
I love the system test

Nice
Sweet
Have you considered installing a neo in the house?
No
Do you ever use glassbreaks?
No I don't
I thnik the EOL resistors should be from terminal to terminal not inline with the wire
Yeah I've seen it done both ways shouldn't make a difference either way it's a normally closed loop that should be always getting the resistance
Can u upload more interesting videos please i just want good content from a good youtuber 😊
Have you ever worked on a Honeywell Vista system before?
No
@@nics-systems-electric Would you be interested in learning one someday?
@@matrix2048 I use DSC
@@nics-systems-electric Okay then
@@matrix2048Lol, DSC is quite popular in Canada
I forget, does the actual keypad have a pir built in?
No
Usually keypads have a motion sensor but it is only for backlighting the keypad.
Your a cool adult
Is DSC an Ademco rebrand?
Nope
I use paradox dsc ids caddx fbii ademco silent night and texecom alarm systems
Which one is your favourite? Also, isn’t Texecom only available in the UK/Europe?
Am I the first here? Also great video!!! Everyone should be subscribed to you!! Can I get a pin?
I just watch the one year old video yesterday😂
Why DSC found?
