How about lapping the drip edge on a hip instead of relying on a waterproofing substrate and cutting the rib off the first panel in preparation to bend as side wall flashing or preparation to fit into z bar/ C channel sidewall flashing. A couple extra steps and this video would be more helpful if indeed it’s intended purpose was to be a how to video. I love the fact that there is a metal roofing TH-cam channel it’s important to me that there are reliable sources for upcoming professionals to refer to. An informational channel like this should be most importantly focused on real world installation techniques and information. It would be great to see more videos on hip and valley installation, installing single panels over different roof pitches, sidewall flashing and cap installation. But my assumption is you will be more focused on the product and engineered roofs which is great from an informational and industrial standpoint but not to overshadow residential applications.

This video was meant to be a basic level video, but your point is taken! We do have plans to expand into an additional installation series like this one that go into more detail. And to speak to your last statement, our goal is to educate the industry as a whole, so whether that be through videos on commercial applications or residential applications, we are open to the entire gamut. Thank you for your support and your insight; community feedback is very important to us. Thanks, Ben! -Thad
