Fantastic upload! Miss the old Arena, fond memories of my grandparents working there as ushers and my Uncle who was a season ticket holder taking me to a game and him sucking down PBR's like they were going outta style. Remember the stale smell of beer and kraut for brats lol.
My dad and I had a 20 pack of games at the Mecca. As a kid, it felt like I was watching the game in my living room. It was so intimate and unlike any experience I have ever had.
This brings back some really great memories. The Mecca Arena was home to not just the Bucks, but the Milwaukee Admirals as well. Plus they had some iconic musical concerts. 🎼🎶🎵 I saw my first Rock concert there. It was STYX, next I saw Twisted Sister and Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe and Ozzy Osborne, Metallica, Dokken, Ratt, Cinderella & Bon Jovi, KISS, and so many other great shows. That was more into the 80's though. I grew up in Milwaukee during the 70's and it was really fun. Back then I was a huge ⚾️🧢Baseball🧢⚾️ fan and the Brewers were my favorite sporting event. However back in the mid 70's the Admirals had played for the AHL cup. I'm not 100% sure if they were in the AHL back then, but our neighbor played for the Milwaukee Admirals and when they won his son and I got to go back to the locker room and it was epic! So many amazing memories! Thanks again and God Bless.
This looks like a 1976 Indiana University reunion. May, Buckner, and Benson. But the real treat is seeing a criminally underused Alex English coming off the Milwaukee bench. The future HOF'er was let go as a free agent at the end of the year

Don Nelson coached the Bucks this early? I thought he got there in like 1981.
He actually took over about 18 games into the 1976-77 season when Larry Costello stepped down

Is that OJ running to the white Ford Bronco at 30:29?
I was a teen in the 70's and this is the kind of basketball I LOVED and the REAL way its supposed to be played!!!
Same with me
Who would have thought that 40 years later, Marques would be doing the color for the Bucks
If you have any games from the 77-78 Bucks-Nuggets playoff series, feel free to post!

Agreed!!
No 3 point line. You had to work for points
To me Artis was better than Kareem talent wise
Certainly underrated.
Not really
@@damienkirksey7026 then you didn’t see their matchups bc the A Train 🚊 was too strong for him and was a problem
Dennis Awtrey vs. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
