how do you get all those tracks in mario kart tour? I don't get several, like those of the n64, I only get the snow track, do you have to pay something or how do you get all the tracks?
@@yaexx341 ummm there’s only a few tracks in each tour to play more you need to wait for another tour (ik I wish they added a way to play any track whenever you wanted)

Probably because they wanted to port more recent remakes (except Maple Treeway, since it does look a bit different, in terms of colors) with more modern textures, than remake it completely (to save time, ig).
I really hope that Nintendo doesn't release more than 1 SNES track in the upcoming Booster Pass. Unless they go full on MK 8 remake style like they did with the SNES Donut Plains 3 track, the SNES remakes in Tour are very bland to me. It works for mobile, but it seems like a wasted slot when it comes to the upcoming Pass. I do really like what they have done with the courses from the N64 and beyond though
i would only like maybe a small koopa beach track to fill in that small slot or snes bowser castle 2 i think? its the one where theres like 4 paths you take on the last turn. if i had the option i wouldnt bring any snes tracks over though. any gba track im fine with though as long as its not a gba bowser castle port.

God, Alpine Pass looks absolute ass without any textures. Who peeled those trees dude? XD Also, it’s sad to see the ice tracks lose all personality. Frappe Snowland had such an almost divine athmosphere with its dark blue sky and white fields, and Rosalina‘s Ice World, while not that interesting to play, felt magical still with its weird green and purple hues within the blues. Mariokart tour throws the same blue pallette on both of them and calls it a day.
I mean, it was made for MOBILE devices, which is why they don’t look as appealing, but still… I do hope that’s NOT what they will look like in the Booster Pack, though…

Yea, watching this made me realize that mostly too. For example flying fortress looks so much more bright and less scary in mkt, but that doesn't even fit to the theme of the stage at all
One thing I like and hope they'll add is the SNES versions of Mario and DK jr as well as others like them to the next Mario Kart on console (whenever they get to it). As they also add in the original Sound effects when used.

But there are several tracks in Mario Kart Tour that have sections where antigravity is vital, including Rock Rock Mountain, 3DS Rainbow Road and Merry Mountain R/T. I think many tracks in Mario Kart 8 would be great in Mario Kart Tour.

Eh, seems like a fine tradeoff to me for the purposes of a comparison; it's not like I have to play them while squashed/stretched. There's really no perfect way to compare landscape video to portrait; cropping aggressively would lose too much detail, while putting them side-to-side unmodified would either have huge black bars or would way over-emphasize the landscape one.
Rock Rock Mountain really got downgraded in tour. I hate the color palette it has there. The mountain looked better when it was dark grey and greenery contrasted it much better
I like how the Retro Courses that were also Retro in 7 and 8 have their looks from those games.
