    We would love to hear if you have ever tried the Equigroomer and what you think of it?!

    Just bought this for $24 and used it on my GSD for the first time today. She LOVES it, and I find the sound super satisfying. It doesn't remove fur (broadly speaking) as fast as my $15 Hertzko "slicker brush", but the more I used it, the more I appreciated that this removes the stuff we actually want to get out, while doing comparatively minimal damage. For now, I think my plan will be to use the Equigroomer for 99% of a de-shedding session, and then finish off very gently with the Hertzko, for quick cleanup of remaining loose tufts.
    I appreciate the video and its authentic Canadian humor. :)

    The blade is not plastic. It is metal. Try to put magnet on it if you don't trust me.

    I just bought one. How often should I groom my dog? He’s coat is very similar to Fred’s. His coat doesn’t get tangled or anything, so he doesn’t have to be groomed, but he is an inside dog that gets fur everywhere. That’s what I’m really trying to reduce. Thanks

      Hi there thanks for watching. You can do a good brushing once or twice a week depending on how much he is shedding. Just make sure you don’t over brush and irritate the skin. Loose undercoat should come out rather easily. ❤️🐶❤️

    Did / have you used this on a Bernese? Wondering about how it works on a longer double coated breed.

      Hi there thanks for watching. This tool may not be the best on a long haired double coated dog I would probably try and get something with longer teeth. You don’t want to damage the coat.

    Would this work on a pitbull?

      Hi there thanks so much for watching. 100 percent this would work great on a pitbull. Their coat is short and I find shorter coats are even better for this tool.😊

      Hi Abbie! Thanks for commenting. Yes the Equigroomer will absolutely work on your horse. The product was actually originally designed specifically for horses and then was branched out to dogs. If you try it on your horse we would love to hear how well it work!

    would this work on a golden retriever?

    • @FurryFriendsZone
      @FurryFriendsZone  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there thanks for watching. This tool has very short teeth so as it would probably be ok on the shorter hair on your retriever you need a rake or slicker brush to get through the longer hair. I personally don’t use them when I am grooming retrievers. Hope this helps.❤️🐶❤️

      Hi there thanks for watching yes it should work on a lab I just find short hair it’s more effective. A furminator would also work.

    This thing is garbage. It literally is a sawzall blade in a wooden block. And it scatters fur everywhere.
