    Hi; thanks for video. My car is hyundai ix35 crdi 2.0, 135000 Km. it takes 2 seconds to fire up in freezing point. Battery is brand new. I also think that the problem is due to glow plugs.

      My dear friend, try replacing the glow plugs and see if you get a better start, especially in cold weather ✔th-cam.com/video/e9aZTgEqaMg/w-d-xo.html, ✔th-cam.com/video/Dw8vHVntlR4/w-d-xo.html,Hope this helps, don't forget to like👍 & subscribe✌, thank you for your support🤗!

    Hi. Was wondering was it the glow plugs that were to blame? My sportage is doing the same thing now. Thanks

      Hello my dear friend, apparently is a common issues with them. My advice is to have them replaced and during the cold (freezing temperatures) choose a good fuel/Premium instead of standard. Premium diesel has a higher cetane, which means a shorter delay and better ignition quality, and leads to faster start-ups and reduced wear on your batteries and starter, along with less pollution.Hope this helps. I have exactly, and I mean exactly this same fault. Long cranking and lumpy start. Have tried two new battteries. No change. Have the car booked with Kia tomorrow. Have you had any success? I’m thinking it’s a fuelling issue. My Kia does this in temps below 2° Celsius. This morning was minus 5 and took three long attempts to start. For info I have the same diesel engine

    What is the problem

    I have the same problem . then start stop system stopped working. service found no problem. I replaced the battery ... did not help. Glow plugs are the next step, but the service says that the diagnosis does not confirm it. I'll let you know after replacing the glow plugs. Regards

      My dear friend, the diagnosis won't show a fault if there's no electrical problem. However deposits tend to accumulate on the glow plug head making them inefficient in cold weather.A do have a video showing how a glow plug works/ignite.Have a look in to my shorts playlists. Hope this helps and if it does don't forget to like & subscribe, thank you for your support 🤗

    Do glow plugs come under the kia 7 year warranty as i have just brought a 2017 1.7 diesel and have the same problem

    • @montoya_garage
      @montoya_garage  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      my dear friend, I'm afraid that this information needs to be clarified with your local Kia dealer...(more likely no as is part of the service/maintenance process and depending were you live is easier and cheaper to have them replace at a local garage).Hope this helps. Hello Sebastian, this car has a timing chain problem as well. The chain tensioner is loose which I believe is a very common issue on this engine. The injectors as well for this type of engine are very noisy. If you change the glow plugs please let me know if this will improve the starting. Wish you the best and I'm looking forward to your reply.

      Good morning Montoya Garage
      I order plugs last night and probably next week I will replaced them...This morning was only 1 degrees plus and engine start not to bad but with some cracking noice and about 3 sec delays...My Kia had already 109100 miles I will also considering timing chain to replace if new glow plugs doesnt help..I will keep you updated...Reg Seb

I'm new in the virtual world and I try to catch up fast. My goal is to upload useful content and share with my audience helpful information regarding cars and repairs. If you like my channel and the content that I'm uploading you are more than welcome to subscribe and to share your opinion with me. Thank you for your support. My guess is a faulty throttle body but it’s hard to know without working and running some tests could be a lot of things

      Hello my dear friend, in most of the cases replacing the glow plugs will help the engine to have a smooth start. Another common issue is the fuel,in cold weather diesel engines need a winter fuel.Hope this helps ,don't forget to like & subscribe to my channel, thank you for your support.👍

    when i start my Kia Sportage 2019 model it produce annoying sound like fallrer fallrer from slincer (exahust) how to fix this problem?

    • @montoya_garage
      @montoya_garage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm assuming that your car falls under 7 years warranty, my best advice to you get the car to the dealer and have it inspected properly, is very hard for someone to give advice without inspecting the car/part/noise. Hope this helps and sorry I can't do more for you! If you haven't done it already, feel free to subscribe to my channel. Thank you for your support!👍

      Hello my dear friend, as easy as it looks you need to know that is a very high probability to snap them and this will result in a very costly process. My best advice for you is to have them replaced by a professional technician who knows what is doing. Hope this helps you and if it does please like & subscribe to my channel.
