Great video. Just got this also as a birthday present from my sister. I'm sure someone will mention it, but the item that you identify as the Ultimate Nullifier is actually the device Pete used to track his Spider-Tracers before he configured the Tracers to respond to his Spider-Senses.
They made the heads larger because the light up eye feature took so much space with that head, they sized up every other head to match the light up head. They made it so all the heads were the same consistent size
I'm no figure collector. But I'm really considering getting this one and the Goblin one. I'm a big comic fan and the Ditko ASM aesthetic is gorgeous, simple but brilliant character designs with bright colors.
A quick wrap of plumbers tape on the pin should take care of the loose head. However, we shouldn't have to do such repairs on a critical and noticeable part of a new figure. It's not a negligible detail. A loose head pin joint is like the kind of problem we would have faced with figures over 20 years ago when toy makers were still sorting out how to design articulation points.
Yo first comment but also shartimus can you make a shart short about your all time favorite figure any figure from any toy company. One of my favorites of all time is one of the 2002 toybiz spiderman figures from the movie
Hey, thank you! For what it's worth, traditional guidebooks indicated his eyes are hazel, and this was often subtly indicated. Not always, but.... I also want to say, I wish this guy had significantly better articulation as the joints are all hidden. I doubt it would be worth the cost to me.
I wonder if there's a pattern maker out there that can make a cosplay pattern of the mezco spiderman and have the red portions made of matte red stretch pleather?
@@caloyvillaflor9157 yeah you have to take out the base of the head to put in the batteries like shart did in this video, it's a little bit of a hassle but once they're in it's not so bad
I have this figur,e, still in box. Im affraid of posing him, because of the wrinkles at the shoulders. Should I be worried? What about 5 years from now? What do you think about the wrinkles at the shoulders? I dont know if I should sell this of not because of the wrinkles.
I think this figure looks amazing right now, but what about 5 years from now? What about 10 years from now? I feel like time will NOT be kind to this figure. I think I the articulation is eventually going to take its toll on that fabric suit
Which is why I don’t buy Mezco. but, I love sharts reviews so here I am. However I totally agree with you, I wish we got these levels of quality with Mezco, sadly it’s just not gonna hold up.
The cloth ruins it for me, especially the backside. However, why did they not do his webwings? Using cloth would have been the perfect reason to do it.
Okay, now I know that you said that Wolverine being taller than Spidey irks you... but, seeing as how Deadpool is bringing Hugh Jackman to the MCU... Jackman is way taller than Tom Holland, so in a weird, quasi-meta way, Wolverine IS taller than Spidey now! 🤣🤣🤣 Sik
Yikes, that's a pricey meat-a-ball right there. Deal killer for me I'm afraid. At that price point, in this scale, it needs to be perfect, the last classic Spidey you'll ever need, and between the lack of toe articulation and the fact that people are reporting joints wearing out, this guy just isn't there.
They shouldn't because this one isn't supposed to be a first appearance Spidey. It would ruin the figure as some people just want a good comic Spidey that's not first appearance.
Mezco sucks !! one of the most inconsistent toy companies out there and not to mention the horrible proportions. I stopped getting stuff from them after the predator and 1989 Batman figures. Simply not worth the price
@Shartimusprime Figure looks like shit 💩 For that kind Of Money Way Better Off with The MAFEX Spider-Man that the Best Spider-Man ever made 🔥 🕷️ 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not but I don't care too much for the completely soft goods figures... they look more like dolls than action figures. 🤷🏽♂️
For me I'm just more afraid of the cloth getting damaged or dirty & also the fact that maybe the details would just be printed while it would be sculpted on the plastic areas like the Mezco Spider-Men (except the Symbiote Spidey).

W sister
Happy birthday
Your sister is the BEST
Yup
it is not the nullifier, its the original spider tracker, and the spider bots are the original spider tracers
I thought I said “spider-tracers”.
For me, this is the BEST Spider-Man action figure, the look is beautiful, it has excellent articulations, and it is PACKED with accessories.
Agreed
After seeing the ML head swap shot cut into the big time let down shot, the mezco head does look oversized.
I like this Mezco Spider-Man design!
They made the heads larger because the light up eye feature took so much space with that head, they sized up every other head to match the light up head. They made it so all the heads were the same consistent size
gotta love the elder abuse on the box

You're videos are always helpful when it comes to buying figures.

MEZCO = Massively Expensive Zany Costly Objects.
I got this a couple days ago and I couldn’t put it down, I swear I didn’t know the boots rotate 😮

The legends head pretty good on the Mezco body.
4:57
That's Spidey's og spider-tracer locator. Since the spider tracer emits a special frequency, he used that device to locate it
16:31 like that?
@ShartimusPrime Yeah, in the early comics, he used that receiver to pimpoint the spider´s location
@@sebabory98 Ohhhhh, the thingy I called the "Ultimate Nullifier"! I see, I remember now. Thanks!
@@ShartimusPrimethanks for making these videos can’t wait to see the fantastic four and maybe doctor doom review?
Great review as always! Saludos desde Argentina!
Really REALLY wish you'd review the Mezco Doctor Doom and F4!
Great job
Nice figure
Fun figure. But Mezco might surpass McFarlane in terms of scale. They simply do not care about it.
I just got it today and I love it it’s my favourite figure in my collection
I ❤ this fig
The New Mezco Ditko-Inspired Spider-Man Figure Looks Great!

I just got my amazing fantasy ML not too long ago, targets seem to be getting them in stock
Where can I find your photo from the review?
I knew immediately that the heads just seemed Way too big. Or maybe I'm just not a fan of the Roundness?
I wonder if there's a pattern maker out there that can make a cosplay pattern of the mezco spiderman and have the red portions made of matte red stretch pleather?
I dunno if it's a first but in this set, all extra heads have a neck joint
Their recent superman does as well
@@devinbrewer8956 ah I don't have that one, so those figs with light up eyes have neck pegs with the headsculpts?
@@caloyvillaflor9157 yeah you have to take out the base of the head to put in the batteries like shart did in this video, it's a little bit of a hassle but once they're in it's not so bad
Wonder what the margins are like at Mezco.
Thanks shart
Shartimusprime, you might as well get the mezco green goblin since you got this spiderman figure..
I haven’t watched you in 7years bro

Just got it yesterday for my birthday that was a week ago
I think the only way i would get an expensive fig is if i won a contest 😅
I think this figure looks amazing right now, but what about 5 years from now? What about 10 years from now? I feel like time will NOT be kind to this figure. I think I the articulation is eventually going to take its toll on that fabric suit
Judging by the Daredevil, I think it’ll be okay. We’ll see though. (Edit: except the shoulders, that does concern me.)
Which is why I don’t buy Mezco. but, I love sharts reviews so here I am. However I totally agree with you, I wish we got these levels of quality with Mezco, sadly it’s just not gonna hold up.
Agree...mezco suck.. only moron humans collect the mezco ...garbage😂
If you have it shartimus can you tell me if mezcos new doctor doom is worth 155 usd (because I live in New Zealand its 253.85 dollars)
The big time let down stop motion again 😂
🤔 not sure if I want this piece.
Nice

Ditko's Spidey was always kinda skinny.
Hey shartimus the new deadpool 3 trailer just came, can you please do a deadpool 3 trailer reaction video please?
Okay, now I know that you said that Wolverine being taller than Spidey irks you... but, seeing as how Deadpool is bringing Hugh Jackman to the MCU... Jackman is way taller than Tom Holland, so in a weird, quasi-meta way, Wolverine IS taller than Spidey now! 🤣🤣🤣 Sik
Mafex does a great job for Spiderman. Mezco looks worst, limited articulation, and looks bulky 😂
I just wanted this because of the Steve ditko love
Ditko spider-man HAS to look bulky
this was a $120 kick in the teeth. it looks like a Mego toy.
Nuh uh
Almost Funko head

Most of mezco figures look like like dwarfs for some reason lol
marvel legends get a three pack of the same character but different costumes? Good idea or bad idea?
Zero hour gang🥶🥶
((Please pin this comment shartimusprime))
Spider-Man is one Mezco figure I would never buy. They all look like ppl in pajamas.
Can I have one😂
Use those Mezco accessories on legends spidey
They should’a put the blue spider on the back 😤😤
They shouldn't because this one isn't supposed to be a first appearance Spidey. It would ruin the figure as some people just want a good comic Spidey that's not first appearance.
Mezco's Spider-Man is much better
Huh

@@jessequest8575 some Mezco figures suck sure. But some are also fantastic, I think the best they’ve ever done is their new Doctor Doom
People are making way too many excuses for the terrible execution of this figure on so many levels
I love it but I’m not a big collector of these
😂 mezco always SUCKER
Always love an action figure in pajamas? lol, terrible. Mezco should just stick to making accessories for other lines, it's what they're best for
Piss off
I think that’s his spider tracer tracker
Not a nullifier
