This is my own opinion but I am pretty sure he is too busy to replay all these games (though he may replay some as he mentioned with Caverna). I believe he looks at BGG and filters down to the date to see which games he reviewed on a certain day and if he remembers the gameplay he talks about it.
He’s revisiting his thoughts. Some games he may have continued to play or played occasionally, but he tells you at the beginning he’ll tell you what he thinks of them today if he thinks of them at all.
I own and have played Carnival Zombie: 2nd Edition. In spite of all the delays and some complaints about the rulebook, I’m very glad I backed it. It remains what excited you back in the 1st edition days: a hard to win but filled with fun tower-defence game. I just wished it managed to hit the table a bit more often so that I’d play all the content, but it relies on a game group that’s willing to be more than casual. The art is still really good, the theme is one of my favorites, mixing zombies, characters from the italian Commedia dell’arte and huge guns, and the new heroes and bosses quite interesting to play with. I do hope the Dice Tower crew gives the 2nd Edition a try and lets us know their opinion in a video.
When I heard about the game the idea sounded pretty interesting, yeah, the design of the board may hurt it a bit, but I think it makes it unique kind of game.
I didn't really find the game in Festo. Maybe should have given it another try, but I remember it just feeling like doing things to do things with no path or interest.
For years I've waited for you to put focus on quality but Quantity will be always the priority here. I like you guys and sometimes I'll come back for a top 10 cause you are fun but this channel could be so much more. I really hope you don't take it the wrong way, but it seems to me quality over quantity is the way to go. Do a quarter of the videos with double the quality and I think you would have so much more attention... Anyway, keep doing what you will in the end, if it's what you believe in.
Tom just did a whole blurb on Board Game Breakfast a couple months back about how several Dice Tower series will be dropped. Since then, we've seen that happen, even BGB itself, which was a longtime weekly staple, is now bi-weekly. Not entirely sure what your comment is getting at.
I like this series. Would be cool to see an image of the games setup and components as well as the cover art.
Out of curiosity, is Tom replaying all these games or just adjusting his review? Love this series, just never knew the process.

Still love Blackout Hong Kong. I think the graphic design hurt it. Reprint?
