So the issue is that guns are legal and making them illegal will stop all the shootings, right? I don't understand how people can't understand something so simple. Now I know I was born in Detroit and raised just outside of Detroit so people in different areas have a different understanding of crime but come on. So let's forget about the act of using a firearm for a second. It doesn't matter what weapon you use whether it's a vehicle, a bomb, poison, a firearm, a knife, or a rock, MURDER IS ILLEGAL!!!!! Making something illegal does not equate to prevention! Criminals don't abide by the law! How do you guys think making firearms more difficult to obtain or all out illegal will stop anything? Come on you guys are foolish! Our politicians absolutely know this but if anything were to happen with gun control it's only a political maneuver for power! Our government I think already has enough power and controls every single aspect of our lives all day every day with the 7 billion laws we have. Man I can already see it coming. You people won't learn until it's gotten so bad that we're like Venezuela then y'all say oh damn I guess we were wrong please guys get your guns back and help us, I just got a $500 ticket today for wiping my ass back to front an accident and the government doesn't allow that lol
So if a trained officer is able to get shot and not take down the perpetrator, making sure more people have guns will prevent a gunman from succeeding is ludicrous. It would be utter chaos.
