One thing I realized after making this video is that during the scene where WX's robot arms turns human and Wagstaff gives a confused look, if you closely on what they're working on, you will realize they are constructing a portal.

Yeah... but kinda no, since Wilson's original hubby was chemistry and not mechanics and the only momment we canonically see him working mechanics is when he builds the 2 portals (both times with help of Maxwell). This lore (for my perspective that *NOBODY* needs to care about) it's looking more like FNAF, since every single piece of lore that we recieve from the game and devs, not only sometimes NOT answering question, but at the same time stockpilling more and more question (don't get me wrong, I like the game's lore but honestly it's a bit tiring this kind of narrative -_-)

I jusr realised something after this. WX was the first to go to Thw Constant who didn't get tricked by Maxwell , even before Winona.
He might entered before Maxwell, but who knows
well, hard to tell when Wes entered it(probably before Wilson, considering we can see him in adventure mode?)
although Wes did technicly get pulled in by Maxwell, just unintentionally.
It could make sense if he was there before but maxwell said that before he arrived at the constant it was just void and dust and that he made everything there is which could be a lie too but yeah

@@pintipandadandontstarvetog4016 i guess waxstaff is behind the creation of the constant ,and in time the things there got a mind on their own , and spread their corruption trough a portal that can make you leave the constant , the constant feels like it evolves on its own , especially in that short where the holo wax ,takes notes on the moon creature , but its too much for my brain to figure it out
Perhaps it's this "Woodrow" that WX-78 voice lines mentioned. Klei likes to sometimes implement those things into the game early just to shove them back in half a decade later.
who is woodrow? I looked at his quotes and nothing came up when i searched woodrow, maybe the wiki hasn't updated yet?

I see it as, WX is a human, perhaps Wagstaff's work partner, who was dying or leaving in some way and he and Wagstaff tried to upload his conciousness into WX using the empathy module but the human brain rejected the body, hence we see WX pull out the module at the end of the short.

*"they" and maybe! WX seemed to think that robotic enhancements and machines in general were much more efficient then gross, human flesh (at least that's what the mouse in the lab seemed to show). So maybe they just transferred their consciousness as a whole to the robot.
It also seems like WX thought human emotions, like empathy, were inefficient even before they became a robot. I think that WX just didn't want to feel empathy because empathy made them feel some sort of sorrow or pain and didn't allow them to function "properly".

one thing i noticed is that it probably wasnt wagstaff thats the missing person, but the wx possibly seeing by the shape of the portal and such

@@dunnkids7263 charlie went missing during maxwells final act, the "missing person" in question is the person that winona tried to save from the portal.

Since time moves differently in the constant and wx was sent to the constant when wagstaff was younger wouldnt it mean he has been stuck in the constant for like atleast 30 years in earth time but maybe like 300 or 3000 years in the constant?
Not necessarily. The time the characters get sucked into the constant doesn't necessarily mean they end up in a corresponding date in the constant (at least as per devs in Winona's dev stream).
For example, Winona disappears in the Voxola Factory fire that occurs in 1919 only to meet Wilson and Willow (in the gameplay trailer 2021), with Wilson having disappeared 3 years in the future in 1921.

Well, we knew that Wolfgang also met young Maxwell but still end up meeting the others at the same day
So, the time when they getting sucked to The Constant are totally random
For any other sample, Wilson, who was freed by Charlie from Nightmare Throne, met Maxwell who was freed by Wilson before. Meaning that even if Maxwell "dies" earlier, he still can be sent out after Wilson re-survives in the Constant.
It feels like centuries
I like to think that WX and the person who was uploaded into the empathy module are separate people. WX eventually became the dominant personality and tried their best to remove the human inside of them (breaking the empathy module and eventually ripping it out in the animation).

I think this side of story will be unexplained to day of the end... Or we can speculate.
Teory what I created about this is goes like that:
Wagstaf and his [assistent] was working on robots what will help explore DST world with no problems, but there's part where I can't say why this [assistant] transform mind to robot. So as we go, the [assistant] slowly creates more of them. As we see Wagstaf after knowing this is not very happy, after some unknown time Wagstaf throw away [assistant] from now know as WX-78.
From now there's part of teory kicks in. If we looked on animation of rework of Weber (I not sure if I write good) there's mistery man looking similar to Wagstaf giving (Weber) dad spider from DST world. I think the Wagstaf was created two way portal to enter and escape if this needs. He can enter and watch what player/ers will do and use them if he needs (loonar Island boss and his powers controling day and night). But there's interesting part comes, if Charlie knows what he is doing? Like he enters and exists like whatever he wants. Maybe they know each other and they usually fight or they take a deal (this is blank space of his story and Teory).
But there's one question about that.
How Wagstaf know about DST world?
How long he was working on it?
I too agree with this. Wagstaff knows way too much about the constant but yet we don't know how he knew about it. He even knew about the Nightmare Throne D:
As for how he's bringing stuff back and forth, maybe there's something to do with the fact that he's somehow projecting himself into the constant? Who knows.
So damn excited, I'm a Wortox main now, but way back when, I loved WX. He was the first character I really clicked with, and I've been so excited for his rework

Being what he is, towards the end after seeing the gears, WX main couldn't stop himself from crushing the empathy module and trying to eat the gears within even though they could have been used to make kit for the team.

Also, am just gonna say that this maybe is the best short ever
I personally thinks that the human WX(the one who got his mind inserted into WX robot body) is actually being tricked into becoming the robot, based on some quote of WX when it inspect Wagstaff hologram or something similar.
If that's the case it would make sense why in the WX animated short he is so desperate on forgetting Wagstaff, because of him being tricked by Wagstaff

Although I like this theory, I don't think WX was tricked into becoming a robot, as their description in DST states that they wanted to continue and perfect the experiment. However, I think your on the right track. Wagstaff could have tricked WX in someway to throw them into the portal, which would explain why WX hates Wagstaff and why they moan specifically after they remember them going through the portal.

Is it possible WX could be webbers dad? Him and wagstaff know each other and webbers father is shown to be some sort of biologist/scientist and the beard(barely) resembles that of webbers dad
I personally don't think it's Webber's dad. Webber's dad specialized in insects (as per their office), not robots and machines.

this actually cant be the case cuz in the webber short wagstaff is old and in this short he's younger, so by the time that the webber short happened, WX was already in the constant

I had to immediately think of Webbers Father in the mirror reflection scene maybe Webbers Father was the Partner of Wagstaff or his Brother that would explain why Webbers father would get a Spider from Wagstaff

Reminder that wagstaff himself never banished WX to the constant, because of his examination quote for wx78 on the throne ("Is that..? But it couldnt be!") showing that wx78 somehow got there himself

Gonna miss the fact that wx could upgrade himself with gears. That was one of the best features about him in my opinion.

human wx was the winona factory owner, and he was a partner of wagstaff, which got betrayed in a way to become the human experiment
Idk it seemed kinda like he betrayed wagstaff to me cuz he was denying the empathy module aka human emotions to "perfect" himself and fed up with all this wagstaff destroyed whatever wx was doing and sent him to the constant but i could be wrong
The original scientist clearly views machinery superior to organic mechanics noted by "organic components to blame" part. Wagstaff likely helped in building the first WX model, and the built the empathy module to prevent the "erratic behavior" side effect.

They finished the portal just when they were hating each other. So maybe Waggstaff threw WX away to get rid of him.

Webber's dad has a focus on insects, not robotics (and whatever field uploading one's mind would be).

I think when Wagstaff puts on that helmet and the perspective changes to wx that is Wagstaff transferring his consciousness into wx. However wx or robot wagstaff is experiencing some kind of psychosis because of something to do with being in a robot body. If you think about it, transferring conciouysness into a robot would mopst likely cause many problems as you do not produce the many chemicals that your brain uses to function properly.
