Secondly i want to know how to keep soil dry since the sides of the pot is not porous and therefore water do not evaporate.

Hey, we are glad that our video was informative to you. If you want to keep the soil dry, try making bigger holes at the bottom for proper drainage of excess water. Also, avoid supplying excessive water tp your plant. Water only as long as the soil keeps absorbing it.
Plastic pot me 2 hole se kaam nahi chalega kumsekum 20 hole hona chahiye. Maine 12 inch plastic pot me pahle to 10 hole kiye lekin ek din baad malum chala ki bottom soil watering ke 24 ghante baad bhi wet hai. Phir se pot ko khali karke bottom me 20 hole aur kiye. In total 30 hole karne ke baad ab ummid karta hu bottom ka soil moist rahega na ki wet.
neeche ki layer par dher saare stones daaliye, 2 holes se araam se kaam chal jaega. poora gamla holes se bharne ki zaroorat nahi padegi. Thanks.
