I'm going to point you to the sprite extruder It's the one that is on the ender 3 s1, pro it should work with both the main boards you have.( Edit I would make something that removes all the brains and part that have to be cool off the unit, build a heated chamber for it. I'm going to be trying it here once I get the feel of the printer first)
Why would anyone buy the base Ender 3 then spend the time to assemble, adjust and later on do the add on mode? For that you might as well spend a bit more to get the better one. I came to that conclusion and I am happy I made that decision. Seriously just a single modification cost is enough to pay additionally for a new better Ender 3. How about proof with me buying and receiving the Ender 3 S1 Pro last week for under $100? It was listed NOT repair as is but turned out it was a minor thing . This printer is $500 a few years back and even now still over $300 on Amazon. I am extremely pleased and happy of its feature and working order. I was frustrated and confused with the confusion of so many Ender 3 model but a few days of reading and thinking sorted that confusion out. Do the home work then you will reap the reward buying correctly. This is my first printer and I am no longer afraid buying a 3D printed with the listed condition NOT new.
