Greg and Tracy are so awesome and encouraging! Im almost 60 years old and trying to get started again and they make me feel like there is some hope for me ( as old as I am ) to kick this thing in the butt and get going again! Other people are not so nice. Thank you both for all you do!
I love when Greg teaches me nails. I have watched him for many years. He breaks it down all the way and has helped me understand how to do nails on a better level than anyone else has ever done. You can tell he's in his element and is an excellent teacher. I love the products and have been using them since 2007.
I love this. Dont worry at 9 months. Im in this industry 13 years and still struggle with certain things. You live an learn what products and techniques work best with you. Trying something new will always be a struggle, but usually its a good struggle. I cant do acrylic due to allergies, so fiber gel was a miracle as i like something that can be soaked off. So i agree. Be easy on yourself. Even after ten years you may find a snag, but it always evens out and gets easier.
Did you condition the sanding band before you used it? You said it was a brand new one, but I have the YN sanding bands & they are pretty sharply edged. I usually condition them to avoid cutting into my nail or finger... It was so helpful to learn from Tracey, Melissa and Karen that it is soooooo important to conditioning a sanding band AND a regular hand file to help prevent cuts! This being a nail school vid, it may be important to help reiterate that every time! Thanks!
I did my own nails they are naturally long, they curve horrible in the center. Which method would you recommend? I did try the forms today they look good for my thumbs. The rest ok.
Can you give us a little more information as to what you are wanting to accomplish with your nails? Are you wanting additional length on top of your natural length or are you just wanting something to protect the length you have?
@@youngnailsinc well both but my main issue is a avulsion to my index finger I need to fix it. My nails are long but the thumb are what usually break or spilt. The pointer finger was sewed and glued back on at hospital so it looks horrible with anything I try the closest repair was acrylic dip or poly but I can't file the nail always stays split it grows now separate, it's from free edge all the way back to cuticle.
How do you fix or remove a acrylic nail that popped off half way, should it be removed and start over...the prep was fine just part of the nail where the sharp curve is is where I keep seeming to have gaps or the powder scoot down?
@@youngnailsinc thank you for this link, I fixed my thumb from top gel coat peel, it was really anchor to the tip. So I just added clear poly to the space and top coat gel; it looks really cool like the glitter and grey show through and I added gems. So basically worked with what I had not having to remove the whole thing. Still have to fix the pointer finger with the damaged nail from avulsion (amputation)
fiber gel is a soft gel and can be soaked off. Synergy gel is a hard gel and is non-porous meaning it can't be soaked off. You can also build extensions with synergy gel, but not with fiber gel.
When I turn speed up it doesnt really have a low speed. It takes me quite a few times 2get it to go on a low speed, if even does. The plug into the hand file keeps coming out too often. I love the hand held part of it but thats about it. Sorry.

Correct, you prep them against a hand file.
At 4:41, are you using a coarse or fine safety bit?
It’s our coarse safety bit.
Thank you for your wonderful teaching classes. I have a question. Can you use the hard gel system on your pedicures? Thanks again, Greg.😊
you can, we recommend doing the gel service before the pedicure.
Great, thanks for how to to do the order.
Where are you located?
Thank you for sharing. Question, why didn't you use base gel after the primer ?
With fiber gel, you don’t use a base. It has excellent adhesion on its own.
@@pennybromley311 Correct 😊
That’s right! You used the fiber gel! Thank you both @pennybromely311
Thank you as always for the teaching. I have a question about the hard gel system. Can it also be used on a pedi? Thanis again 😊
you can, we recommend doing the gel service before the pedicure.
What did you use as a topcoat at the last? Thanks for your videos!
It's our Ultimate Finish top coat.

@@youngnailsincI saw on one of your videos where you sculpted a active length extension !?

What is the difference between fiber gel in a bottle and fiber gel in a pot?
They are exactly the same product, just different ways of applying it.
I am beyond bummed with your newest efile. My Belle one works better than this.
Are you referring to the black portable e-file or our desktop e-file that Greg is using in this video?
Sorry, just seeing this. The black one. I feel bad even saying so though.
What seems to be the issue you are having?
When I turn speed up it doesnt really have a low speed. It takes me quite a few times 2get it to go on a low speed, if even does. The plug into the hand file keeps coming out too often. I love the hand held part of it but thats about it. Sorry.
