James M. Boice (also Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Albert N. Martin, Eric Alexander, and a few more as these men) came into my life soon after believing in Christ...how wonderful it was for me to hear (and read) these men in the 60's/70's to today still. This man was as sound biblically as they come and he never gave a poor sermon. Thanks for posting this...there so extremely few messages of his on video and not many audio cd's that I am aware of. He and (Peter Masters @ Spurgeon's Tabernacle yet today) quote and bring up Lloyd-Jones a lot, perhaps because the three are so alike. Oh, the church was given some fine, fine preachers for us who long for and need sound true biblical teaching. I have listened to these men at times for a couple or three messages...just "soaking it up."
We lost him 22 years ago. He would be 83 now. Just think what he could have preached in that time but God knows best and we bow to His Sovereign Will. It seemed good in His sight! There will be a great reunion in Glory!

In addition to Drs Boice and Barnhouse, also has Philip Ryken, who is the update author of Dr Boice's seminal books, and over a thousand of Dr (MD) and Dr (Th) Martyn Lloyd Jones sermons from his pulpit in the UK which were recorded to the consternation of Dr Lloyd Jones. I think he irascibly agreed because the people recording them convinced him that they would be valuable in teaching others to spread the word in truth. He had to go listen to other pulpits to be convinced that "soundness" was in peril.
There is extensive archive of Boice's Bible Study Hour on One Place.com, and the radio ministries of Boice and Donald Gray Barnhouse are archived at the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals website at alliance.net.

RC Sproul once said that his early death was meant as a punishment for America who turned away from the truth.
He's a very good teacher.

Boice is the greatest to ever do it that I have heard maybe I will have to listen to some of barnhouse!
