Man everytime I see an animatic like this I find a new apreciation for them, remember other dear viewers chances are the people who make this had to listen to the song they used roughly 30 times, breaking it down, rewinding it,etc to animate to the song's beats. I did it once for a final and every time I hear that song again I associate it with stress.

honestly I realized I had a really good concept was when I could come up with incredible simple connections to hollow Knight with all of the first verses lyrics. Rain and bugs? City of Tears. Sun and plants? The radiance and mosskin. I was actually just going to do a painting inspired by “rabbit in the moon” for the hollow Knight but then I relistened to the song as I was putting together a speed paint and went “oh ho ho.... there’s much more I could do here!”
Absolutely beautiful! I love how well everything fits. Your art style, transitions and camera shots are so on point. You related each phrase of the song wonderfully to each of the characters. It truly paints the atmosphere brilliantly! Gives me chills every time 💙
