Lmao at all the comments people who have no concept of the auto industry, economics, or life in general. To each his own, just because it is not your taste, you shouldn't be so ignorant to demean this beauty of a car. If all you care about is speed, then cool, go ahead and buy a 70k rwd two door sports car. At the end of the day yes, that sports car will beat this jeep in a straight line, but it wont be able to tow nearly 8000 lbs, hold a family comfortably, pack the trunk, handle the hard corners, or go offroading. Just because you have a different opinion, doesn't make the opposition invalid. At the end of the day this is a VERY reasonable and diverse vehicle.

One of the most exciting SUVs on the market! How can people believe this is too expensive? Just look at the awesome package!!! Hardly anything out there that'll offer such amenities for the value.

What I liked about Jeep and Chrysler is that they finally stepped up their game, their 300C looks much much better than the past model, and this Grand Cherokee looks splendid. Props to them.
I would take this instead of a Cayenne/X5 M/ML63 any time.
I had a fully loaded 2012 SRT JGC. With all wheel drive and almost 500 HP it was one great vehicle. Power is amazing. Quality was great. I wish I didn't have to trade it in for a truck, but I needed the truck bed. The Duramax/Allison combo in my new truck isn't too bad, either! LOL

easily the best overall review on the vehicle. I've watched every English speaking review for this truck that is more than 20 minutes long and this was the best combination of spec and opinion. most 9ther focus so much on the 0-60 and the sound but fall short with what we really want to know about in a truck that we will be driving daily, good job emphasizing the creature comforts!

I prefer this one over a Range Rover for two reasons, 1 because it is 'Mercedes-Benz/Daimler Chrysler approved', 2 because even though it is less expensive than a Range it is also less typical than a Range# Thumbs up.
***** Snazzy, you've got that backwards. It was Daimler (Benz) who messed up Chrysler. I encourage you to do some research on the topic. One of the few good things to come out of that merger was the LX platform--everything else went downhill fast. Finally, Chrysler entered a merger in which its partner (Fiat) actually appreciates them. Maserati is using Chrysler parts (electronics, platforms, even the bottom-end of their newest engine).. that should speak volumes to how far Chrysler has come since ending that pathetic partnership with Daimler. Good riddance.
Ok Snazzy, I guess you refuse to look at facts. Still, I'll refrain from calling you names because you obviously won't get it through your diminutive head.
I can't believe I'm even bothering responding to you since you obviously refuse to do research before spouting your ignorant opinion, but I find myself with a bit of free time.
1st: Reliability hasn't been a strong suit of Mercedes since the mid 1970s. This typically goes for all German cars: when they fail (which isn't uncommon), they fail HARD and are expensive to fix. Chrysler may score low on Consumer Reports testing, but their system is known to be faulty for a variety of reasons (of which I'll spare you the reading..but feel free to look it up). I've personally seen numerous Chrysler vehicles with well over 200k miles that remain dependable daily drivers (once rode in a 1999 300M with well over 500k all-original miles [odo stopped at around 430k]; on the other hand, I had an Audi that became problematic at 30k).
2nd: Style is conclusively subjective. It's pointless to use it in an argument.
3rd: Fuel efficiency is generally better for Chrysler than for Mercedes (in the US). Take an E-class AMG vs an SRT Charger and you'll see that even though the Dodge has a 100hp advantage, its EPA ratings are higher. Most other examples favor Chrysler.
4th: Bang for the buck? You've got to be kidding me. I can't help but laugh if you think you get more car-for-your-money in a Mercedes than in a typical Chrysler. It's (presumably) your money though, so feel free to go to your Benz dealer and try to get as much car and content for the same money.
Now, look up the Maserati Ghibli. If you do some digging, you'll see that it uses Chrysler electronics (uConnect 8.4), Chrysler interior switchgear, and the engine was built by Ferrari STARTING WITH Chrysler's lauded Pentastar V6.
By the way, Chrysler has been helping Fiat group financially for the past couple years. It's a mutually beneficial merger, but at this point, Fiat needs Chrysler as much or more than Chrysler needs Fiat. I'll simply encourage you to do the research on why the Daimler-Chrysler merger failed (hint: it was Daimler's bossiness and fund-siphoning that drove Chrysler into the notoriously dark 2000's).
On that note, I have nothing more to say to YOU. One day you'll hopefully grow up and realize that just because you think something, it doesn't make it true.
It's hard to pick a favorite car but the srt I've always liked and still want even though it's not a practical car to get now.

I see quite a lot of these Jeeps (but with the diesel engines) in the Netherlands, in comparison with other American SUV's (there are pretty much none here, except Jeep). This car looks so awesome and rough, and I especially love the new exterior design. And the SRT engine produces still one of the most epic sounds a car can make :P

Somewhere in the review you should mention other cars within the same price range and class. Like with this one you could've mentioned the G63 AMG and Range Rover, to give people an idea of where this sits on the totem pole. *just a suggestion

Here in the UK you can pick this car up for £56,000.00 with discount. The value of this car in the USA is mindblowing!!

Love your videos Kyle. I noticed you mentioned Lane Departure Warning. Just letting you know that this vehicle does not come with a Lane Departure Warning system standard or option. The new Cherokee does but not the Grand Cherokee.

When I was deciding that I wanted to get one of these (would be my 3rd Jeep Cherokee and come from a family of Jeep drivers/owners), it didn't come in white which is the color I always get. Glad I waited for the white, even tho this baby is significantly more expensive than my first 2.

If I were to get one of these badass jeeps I get mine in red with brown interior and it would have all of the options
If u want brown, u need the summit. The srt, as far as i know anyways, can only come with the morroco black premium napa leather... Or u can get the limited. With a beige interior, which is nice

The SRT's only come in a black interior or a brown and black which is my least favorite. However in the R/T Durango you can get the red interior which looks great! Or in a black

Is it worth buying a 2014 model over a newer year? These 2014s are significantly cheaper I just don’t know if there’s really a difference other than the body upgrades on the newer years that would make them worth the extra money.

mine came wit 22inch genuine jeep rims. havnt seen any in aus wit these yet. even the guys at the rims shop were tripped out, didnt know they existed.

Does the response of those gages seem rather slow? The RPM needle doesn't seem to climb as quickly as the RPM's themselves. (Great review.)
yea, its almost like a delay between the engine revs and the RPM needle moving up and down...
I hope there's a some kind of fix for that.

Kyle, love your channel, but you have got to stop saying "not to mention" so much. Also, the ECO button does not enable/disable the MDS. It simply makes it work in a wider range to provide better economy at the expense of some added NVH. Lastly, I don't think there is a package that includes the lane departure, adaptive cruise, etc. as an option. Pretty sure that's standard on the SRT. Keep up the good work!

Anyone else prefer the analog gages like the 09-12 Rams did but with the small screen, and the Chargers with the same layout, or is it just me because I'm not a fan of this new tech in cars

This is very cool SUV but my Challenger R/T is better looking and twenty-five grand less. The 5.7 Hemi is all the power I need. Great review Kyle!

Hey Kyle, great videos but I've always had one question- why when you demonstrate the Dodge smart key system, do you verbally say you have to lock the door and wait for a few seconds and then grab the handle to unlock? (I think you just mean when the door is locked) however, had I not owned a Dodge with this system, I would assume you have to hit the black lock button and then hold the handle for the doors to unlock. Just thought I'd finally share that with you. Keep up the great videos man!

I've been looking at these Jeeps or Durango they're decently priced but I can't really find any high mileage reviews on any of them I do know quite a bit about cars and I've always stayed away from Jeep Dodge I feel like they're kind of known to be money pits but I'm hoping they've gotten their act together if someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it
