    Ive had 3 8th gen and yesterday I just bought the 2005 xrs in the same condition as yours! They are really hard to find! Will be looking forward to your videos and hope do the same upgrades! Ohhh and you see civics in every corner but the xrs is a unicorn!

    Love it! I have a Speedway Blue 2007 Corolla, and I bought it brand new back in the day, and I love it. I was a MoPar guy before I bought my Corolla.

    Lovely XRS! I think I may have seen the for sale ad for this exact car. If so, about the only thing that held me back from buying was the color - Impulse Red is very notorious for fading and looking REALLY bad before long. The paint looks terrific in the video, but I’d definitely consider having some sort of UV-resistant sealant put on just as a preventative measure.
    Regardless, when (or if) you decide to sell it - and if it’s still pretty much stock or easily put back to stock - I’d seriously consider making you an offer. In the meantime, enjoy the car! It’s a beauty! 👍🏻

      Thanks. This was on CL in Middlesex, NC. Is that the one? Yeah not my favorite color but I care less about that than the condition. Most of these I've found are totally beat. This one is 9.5/10 and has brand new Michelin tires and a head unit with backup camera and BT. Plus one owner '05-'21. Couldn't pass it up despite the color. I'll be doing a full paint correction and protectant for sure. The paint is actually really good, I hadn't even washed it in the video yet. Once I do it will look much better.

    almost picked up a matrix XRS but was at a shady gas station dealer and definitely had some hidden damage so I ended up turning it down but the 2ZZ is so sweet

    Been a Honda Acura person since probably 1997. fast forward and I got a 2003 Acura type s C. L. 6-SPEED. I made the mistake of letting my wife drive it and she basically would not get out of it. I go on Craigslist looking for a little s*** box for her to drive around so I could sucker her into giving me my car back. I come across this Toyota Corolla XRS. Never heard of it never seen one don't know anything about it cuz I don't really mess with Toyota's. It was a female who wanted $2,500 for it. In the description she said it's a special edition 6-speed. Now that caught my eye. I hit her up go see the car doesn't look like in the picture you know pictures always make cars look good but in person the car is pretty beat up pretty worn so you know the price went down right there. It was summertime and it did not have AC so the money went down again. She didn't really want to budge but then finally we came to a conclusion because of the fact that a slight grind in the first gear when you downshift but she had a brand new clutch in it with paperwork. Ended up getting a car for $1400. The car is a blast and fun fuel efficient but one slight problem. The secondary air injection pump and the secondary air injection valve was bad. The car was fully inspected for another 11 months so I didn't really think about it until I went to find the parts. That was an adventure in itself. About $1,000 and some chains later I still have the car . my wife drives it I got my Acura back and that's the story of me not knowing what the hell this car was

    I always seen these corollas around town and I wondered why did they decide to split the bumper lips on the rear and front
    Also the 8th gen civic is a great platform to do a full 4wd turbo build track car and race car and the engine stock was not all that
    Happy to see new videos coming on your channel

    Lovely looking car! I also own an 05 Corolla, but only a 1.4 deisel. Still, I love it. I have a strange feeling though, that yours may just be a bit quicker!!!

    What does it make this car any better than the Celica GTS? I Heard bad things about this engine so I just wanted to understand

    • @gray25xt
      @gray25xt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because it's more rare....a Corolla should not be this fun, but it is. Same principal as the 1991-1994 Sentra SE-R...they took a vanilla economy car that was everywhere and put a special touch on just a few of them....the novelty factor, it's more fun than a real sports car imho because of that.

    The 9th Generation Corolla XRS is only rare in America, it's not rare in Canada. Least we not forget CDM cars are offered with options that USDM cars do not get.
