Playing this for my spring concert! Where my trumpets at? Think this is a great way for me to be leaving my middle school. Kinda wish I could stay another year bc I love middle school band.
My high school band played this when we went to play at some of the nearby elementary schools... We had a little kid come up and 'conduct'.. Music is quite difficult to play when you don't have a guide to keep you all together :p It was a lot of fun to play though, very nostalgic :)
This performance is better than most i've heard on youtube. Some tips: My middle school band (Im in 7th grade and play oboe) at the end of the pink panther, after the first D, we pause for dramatic effect. And before animainiacs our director uses a whistle(like a real march)and for the glissando we use a slide whistle.
i went to middle school 10 years ago but somehow this song played in my head today for some reason and I literally haven’t touched a trombone since then. so this is weird
We were going to get it but our band director decided to do a song called disco lives and at the concert when the song got to YMCA the parents started to do the dance and it was hilarious
We just played this song as our last song in middle school! It was really awesome! We ended up putting the whole thing together in like one day! But it turned out sweet and a perfect way to end our middle school career.

Auxiliary percussion...my director made me stand in front of the audience for a lil slide whistle solo and it was the absolute peak of my musical career lmao
