I think you Reno timeline is more common than you think. Some ppl can’t afford to go in debit to get loan and prefer to do little at a time. You guys have made so much progress so far.
We've owned our home for 3 years and are still slowly renovating. Finally plan to replace our decks and make our back patio this season (we are about to be in summer in NZ), I've loved seeing the natural progression of your home renovations especially with 2 kids like me
Just organized our crafty art sensory bin stuff too. The pencil zipper binder bags are so cheap and helped so much. You can just grab the marker bag or crayons. Target has these large clear bins that allow you to see what you have easier, especially if you have it in a cabinet or closet. I think they are by bright room. We also have the ikea sensory table. There is a hack where you can attach the ikea peg board to the table with their claps. You can make an art station/ sensory station. You would love it! It has allowed us to set some art items out that we feel safe with our 3 year old having free access to.
Have you considered limewashing the brick? I just limewashed mine this fall. I used the brand Romabio. Priming is not necessary. It's breathable, easy clean up, eco-safe, and environmentally friendly. You can use Ramabio's topcoat to protect the finish or let it age naturally.
When I was growing up, our family was on the year by year renovation plan! The financing, actual work & the seasons (weather wise) caused a bedroom addition take 3-4 years! It's was only worked on by my dad on weekends & some late summer nights!
I've been praying for contentment. We're still saving for a house. But God has really exploded contentment in my heart for everything. Love the video. Can't wait to transform my own home one day. Dying to make my boys room (even though one is still a baby)😂 ❤
Hola Allison!!! ❤ La remodelacion de casa llevara tiempo, pero quedara fantástica!! Solo hay que tener paciencia 😊 Hermosa familia, me encantan!! Un abrazo!! ❤😊
Not gonna lie I was stressed out watching your video because I have a toddler and pregnant with my second and it just reminded me that I'm going through the same thing!! I'm stressed out SLOWLY remodeling this house. I wish it was just done! Just wanted to share the solidarity 😂
Have you thought about selling some baby items and buying them again if/when you need them again? Mom of 4 and I’ve sold my larger items like the snuggle me/dock a tot, mini crib, nursing pillow, etc and they’re always easy to come by second hand when you need them again. It’s a great way to save space during the 2-3 years between children.
I don’t know how long ago you filmed this video, but I was in TJ Max and Ross day before yesterday. I’m not sure which one, (sorry), but one of them had a lot of stockings that looked like yours. Also, Jogging Path is one of my favorite colors. You could paint your front door a deeper sage or a forest green.
I just saw a pinterest photo that did a darker green front door with lighter green/gray shutters! I think that's what I plan on doing. I might be able to use Evergreen Fog again!
We have the same renovation style 😅 3 years and are still going 💪 everything costs money and we had a baby in between so 🤷♀️ it takes how long it takes and that's okay. Greetings from Germany ❤
It sounds weird and doesn't smell the best but cutting up a yellow onion and put it in a bowl close to the bed always helped our kids when they had cough. It's a old home remedy in Sweden that worked wonders.
Just a suggestion...why don't you guys get a storage unit for items you know your family won't be using for awhile that way you're not so overwhelmed??

Happy Thanksgiving Allison And Family
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! ❤️
I am in the same kind of “unconventional” Reno. We just hit year three. I really understand the highs and lows of renovation…waiting for next high!❤
Hi Allison! You should paint the brick a shade of black😊

After a lot of research, this is what I am planning to use on our brick. 🙂
Yes!
The curtains and window sills look wonderful! I’m sure it makes life so much easier for nap time!
Highs and lows on renovation is normal. Just think all the work done is well worth it. You and hubby are doing an amazing job. Have a great day.

Love the setup for the arts supplies. The idea of using Trader Joe's bags is a good one. Enjoyed this variety and update video ❤

My daughter loves her sweatshirt.
Fantastic! I'm so glad to hear that :)
Wondering if you could share which blinds you like? We have the taped blackout blind situation going on and it’s not pretty lol 😂
They're linked in the description!

@ That’s a nice color too. I love almost all shades of green. Can’t wait to see the finished project!
You could do a card to open and a message to pick out a Christmas book at a thrift store or make a book instead of a book to unwrap.
