I lived in Elliot Me in 1987 at 184 Goodwin Rd, and then moved to a house on the Kittery traffic circle. I lived out there for 3 1/2 years, and miss it terribly. It looks like a lot has changed in the 30+ years. I was born and raised in Rockford Il , but my heart will always belong to Elliot, Kittery,Me , Portsmouth, and Dover N H ❤
@Scott Neal a lot has changed but a lot has stayed the same! Such a beautiful place to live, I hope you get the chance to come back and visit sometime!
Thanks for this! I’ve only been to Maine twice in my life, but I just found out in the past few years that my grandmother’s family tree has a big branch that were early settlers in the Kittery area. My 8th great grandmother was Mary Pepperrell Frost, Sir William Pepperrell’s sister. I was researching some distant Frost cousins who were 19th-century Shakers in Alfred, Maine, and called the library at the Shaker Village for assistance. The librarian demonstrated exactly why I love small towns like Kittery and Alfred-when I mentioned the name Frost, he immediately said, “The York or the Kittery Frosts?” I hope to return to the state soon and get more family research done while I’m there.
That's amazing! So cool to hear about your family history, yes the Pepperrell's and Frost's are names that are definitely known around here. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, I truly appreciate it!
What no multiple exclamation point aggression we saw on the NH video? Don't people here love freedom? Or do they lack that chip on the shoulder attitude?
