  • Originally Built in 1890, this ancient NYC Church is one of the oldest apartments in New York City. Its also super cool because it has a roof deck, 2 floors, and ceilings that reach almost 25 Feet! Would you live in something as crazy unique as this old school nyc apartment? It does have a lot of features, but check out this nyc apartment tour of this New York City apartment and let me know what you think!

      If you have seen one his latest videos he talks about how he got home from the office around 4pm as it was still bright outside and was finishing editing the video just after 6pm. So roughly 2 hours of editing almost every evening but you can tell by the cuts and takes throughout the video he spends a lot of time getting those perfect shots so he can save himself time on the editing.
      Always puts out brilliant content though! Got me coming for years.

    My ex and I looked at a church when we were buying our first and only home. We really wanted it, but didn’t have the funds or, at that time, the community support. The place we ended up buying had a pool, and we ended up hosting 18 years of community events. Very similar and yet very different trajectory. :)

    This church renovation is fantastic! I love how they didn't ruin the interior by making it too modern. I don't think I would consider it a two bedroom though, that upstairs room is kind of weird. First thing I thought of when Cash said Williamsburg, Brooklyn was the show 2 Broke Girls! Have a wonderful day ❣

    • @GaelinW
      @GaelinW 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Right. That upstairs area is much too open to be a bedroom. Maybe office or movie room. Though a nice space, that makes it really expensive for a 1-bedroom. May be good for a couple.

      There is a door at the top of the stairs. It's not a loft.
      Even as a proper 2br, it is very expensive for the area. I used to live around the corner from this place and it's really much closer to Bedstuy/Bushwick than Williamsburg.

    A pretty amazing re-purposing of an old church. The interior is full of character and it's spacious. The kitchen has full-sized appliances with good storage, and the bathroom is fine. Another bath would have been desirable given the two bedrooms and the size of the place! It certainly is a unique space!

    LOVE IT! I love re-purposed buildings--especially the older buildings which are solid as a rock and have character! Odd shaped/size rooms but they are all uniquely interesting and workable given the amount of space you're given. $5200/month is not bad for that unit given the space, neighborhood, and proximity to public transportation! It's a winner! Merry Christmas to Cash & Family and all of us fans!

    • @VladDImpala
      @VladDImpala 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@myzen1729 Actually most apartments in NYC, whether they are pre-war or post war, have closets in all the bedrooms. Some even have actual walk-in closets and also extra closets in the apartment hallways. Lots of the apartments Cash shows, which are in older buildings, are usually cut-up from much larger apartments, that explains the cookie-cutter 'modern' layouts. This is an interesting apartment, unfortunately, the loft space is wasted, it sure isn't large enough to make into a bedroom, the loft would be great for storage.

    Really unique, huge and beautiful space!!! Plus its freshly renovated and looks like they spent the $$$$ to do it right(aka central heat/air), nice kitchen. However that's A LOT of coin for something with only one bathroom and it really isn't set up for room mates. AKA no door at the top of that stairs to make it closed off and into a bedroom. I've lived in a house like that with tall ceilings/open concept, the sound bounces around/travels up to that 2nd floor, you can make a piece of toast in that kitchen and I bet I could hear you buttering it on the 2nd floor.

    There's a music venue above Mr Kiwi 01:40 called Market Hotel. The window is a back wall of the stage so you can see it from the subway's platform when a band performs.

      I suspect it would have been too expensive.

    So, I was just sitting here ruminating, wondering if there are ever any old, gothic inspired apartments available anywhere in the NYC area. BAM! Turned on the machine and there it is.

    That slot in the wall @ 6:00
    My place has a very similar slot. It's actually very useful.
    It holds a tall wire kitchen rack on wheels, and a rolling clothes rack.
    The wire rack has boxes of stuff we rarely use and it goes in first. Then the clothes rack with coats goes in last.
    Disguised it all with a long decorative tapestry over the opening.
