Very Rare MD-11 Nose Gear Skid!

This MD-11 did a nose landing gear skid while entering its parking spot. They were probably going a little too fast and turned a little too aggressive. This is not so rare but it is not so common to catch in a video!

The MD 11 deserved(and always Will deserve)far more love than it got with only 200 being made, it deserved no less than 1000, it's better than the DC-10 in practically every metric from 630.000+ MTOW to the range which is almost 2.000 NMi more than the DC-10...it's no question one of my all time favorite aircraft..i was thinking earlier it's in my top 20 for sure but thought on it some more and it's a absolutely in my top 15 if not top 10

Yes if the aircraft isnt too heavy , the 777 can taxi on one and the 747 shut down #3 sometimes 2 and 3

Best Job until you know ruined time table of Sleep you have to get up 3AM and fly 8 to 10 hours Then whole night Rubbish Schedule , This looks glamourus job but in infact it isn't.

It's not needed for taxi, they shut it off after landing to save some fuel.

duh doy. in case you didnt know, its to save fuel for the actual flight. Engine 1 and 3 are strong enough to power the plane on the ground
