- As part of the technology refresh at Kissimmee Park Observatory, we have procured a 12" Ritchey Chretien astrograph from Orion Telescope Center. This scope will ultimately be mounted on an iOptron CEM-120 mount in the observatory dome, and will be used for deep sky, high magnification astrophotography.
This is an arrival and unboxing video.

Congratulations 🎉
Cool to hear Airglow as the soundtrack to this video, I love that album
Congratulations!
Great size for most usual seeing in backyards.
Clear skies!
Glad to see you back.
Glad you’re back into it. I’ve been out of it for about a year or so. Let me know if FB if you’re going to have an Grand opening/inauguration of the RC scope, would love to see it. Remember that purple 8 inch scope I had well still have and added new bigger secondary and awesome explore scientific focuser, using the same old tube lol.
that laugh was hilarious 😂
That's Beast scope. Great To see You back!
So you’re upgrading! Nice, and the closest you will get too having a Palomar setup.
Really great to see you back..and kpo too. I was there for starhopping before pandemic hit..a very memorable night..may come back to Kissimmee in near future..hope everything is well there..love from India
Thanks Vishvesh! I look forward to your visit - we've greatly expanded the observatory since your visit.
he is back
it is bigger
we are happy
I'd have shit if someone drove off with your box man. I suspect we'd have seen a side of you none of us knew existed lol great vid ! Beautiful scope man ! Hope its mounted and operational now. Binge watching your stuff.
Yes, the RC-12 is operational (resting on an iOptron CEM-120 mount), and I have been imaging with it for a while now. See “Catching Ancient Photons” here on the channel!

@@kpobservatory enjoying the star hopping series. Im in an 8" orion on a SW eq5. Im horribly disappointed but I drive a truck so I'm limited in how hard I can complain. I've seen stuff from all over the usa in some of the best skies that can be had though. Salt Lake flats. Barren rockies. Remote exits on every highway in the US. Americas loneliest highway and devils canyon .... blah blah blah ! I was thrilled to find your page and spose its time to buy a legit camera. Thnx man !
By the way it’s Tony I went to your place some time ago and had a blast but you had the 17.5 scope. And the DIY mount.
What did you do with the 17.5?
I certainly still have it - I’ve built a rollback observatory for it. That will be the subject of another upcoming video. It will be used exclusively for visual observing going forward.
Great scope,, could have left the music out.
