- In part two of this three part series, Moog Product Development Specialist, Amos Gaynes shows you how to integrate the Minitaur Analog Bass Synthesizer into Ableton Live. Learn how to use your Minitaur as an external filter, manipulate sounds in real time, and create a sequenced gate effect.

I had some problems at first time to get the filtered sound, so here are some important settings:
- have to turn down both 2 oscillators (elsewhere we just hear the Minitaur's own sound)
- have to send a midi trigger continously to the minitaur to leave open the gates (create a midi track for Minitaur, and fill it with midi notes)
- have to turn fully opened both the "envelopes" filters and the "amplifier's" decay and sustain knobs on Minitaur
Perfect balance of nerd, cool and awesome.
This is SICK!! Absolutely Brilliant vid! I am certainly purchasing this soon.
You have completely left out the midi trigger track setup information, you should do a reposting with an explanation of this included, otherwise people are left sitting scratching their heads
What is this? I'm really struggling to make this work??
Great Job Amos. Thank you.
I've watched it like 100 times and when you say that you've routed the audio from output 3 to input audio in the minitaur you are clearly pointing the output slot in the minitaur, please explain the routing. That would be much appreciate it. Thank you
nice - gonna do this with my Voyager RME!!!
thank you. Very useful!
i cannot figure out how to rout audio back into the minitaur properly. i have watched the video numerous times without getting the desired effect. do you need to rerout the audio interface?
this is the bomb
Is the minitaur hooked up to the computer via midi cable to i/O or is it connected via minitaur USB? Thanks! Love this demo!
Can you show me how it would work in Reason 11? :)
What are the name of those monitors back there?
Also, i can do this on Pro Tools as well right...just as a insert?
what audio interface is being used in this video ?
How can i set the up this with the mackie onyx 1640i
if u know help me
Thanks
2:43 this demo is no joke :D
This just isn't working for me using the Saphire pro 24 DSP. I've been at it for weeks, now I'm tempted to return it as it's half of the appeal using it as an external filter just can't be done. Disappointed.
If i recognize the tweeter right they can only be JM LAB-FOCAL(company) i thing FOCAL should do if you search. And the model you need to find for yourself. Maybe just search Focal active studio monitors and should be in the higher price range
ok, what audio interface are you using ?
What audio interface (for mac) are using here?
Not working here either. I've followed every single step you mention on your video but I don't get any sound when I go wet on the external audio effect. Help please...Thank you
+Javier Crespo Torres Try this... Make sure the sustain envelope on the amp is all the way up on the Minitaur, turn the volumes of both oscillators down to 0 and press a note down to trigger the filter (you can also set up a looping single note in a clip to keep the gate open).
+Javier Crespo Torres me too :)
Switch on the speakers ;)
you have to send MIDI notes to the Minitaur also; it wont pass external audio unless it's playing notes.... and you do need to make sure that there is a physical audio cable from an auxiliary output of your soundcard connected to the ext. input of the Minitaur.
