I love how the operator just gives up realising it is going to be more trouble fining Joe than the fine is worth... xD
They would have to work out the exact location the previous photo was taken and take a photo of the taxi rank there. Which may not be valid because it was not taken at the time of the offence. E.g. would it prove the taxi rank signs were there at the time of the offence? No. Sounds like they were lazy and took insufficient photo.
I think Joe perfectly demonstrated through absurdity that they didnt have proof at all, and if they thought it was proof enough for a fine, that Joe provided proof enough to not get a fine.

That story (if true) is so funny I was laughing for ages. When he said "Hopefully doth butter no Parsnips" & "hopefully you won't get caught up in the forthcoming" I almost coated my entire keyboard with a mouthful of tea. Note to self: don't drink tea when watching Joe Lycett on TV.

Most likely this story was set up for the joke so they took the pictures on the same day or around the same day. Not that it matters, though. Absolutely genius haha

I can't tell if Jimmy Carr's laugh is real or not, but if it is...that's awesome
Fake. He claims it's genuine, however, look at old footage and he laughs normally. Carr is a phoney. Saw him live in 2014, (was a big fan at that time) and the whole thing was an abortion. He had no posters up at the venue, no merchandise, nothing. Walking into the place prior to the show felt like a funeral wake. And then came his routine. It was about 2hrs, and after the first hour I was falling asleep. Really lazy comic, loads of shit one-liners. He's ok presenting shows but the rest of his act sucks. Arrogant twat.
Glad to see other good acts emerging like Joe Lycett. Wilkinson is funny in an odd way. Rob Beckett is kinda goofy too. Greg Davies, yes! Old and very talented faves like Bill Bailey & Rhod Gilbert will always have class but Jimmy Carr has rested on his laurels and become tedious.
By merchandise I meant his DVD's/a program. DVD's are standard at comedy acts. From the minute we approached the venue he/his promoters had done nothing. Lazy. Much like his routine on stage was.
No, it's an effected stage laugh. There are bloopers of him actually laughing.

He is counting the host's laugh. I actually know a guy who laughs exactly like that but in a much deeper tone...and slightly slower pace. It makes anything funny 2x as funny.

i was once given a 100 quid fine for supposedly being in the congestion zone in london about 10 years ago. when i asked for a photo as evidence they sent me one with my car clearly outside the congestion zone but travelling in the direction of it (ie literally just about to enter and cross the line) but all 4 wheels were outside the line! when i pointed this out to them they cancelled the fine. true story :)
