Using iPad as monitor for a DSLR

- In this video I will show you how to use an iPad mini as a monitor for your DSLR.
Things you will need:
1- Lightning 8 Pin to USB OTG Adapter Converter Camera Connection Kit from Apple.
2-USB 2.0A to Mini B 5-Pin High Speed Cable
3-Jailbroken iPad (I have used an iPad mini for this video)
4- Application called DSLR Controller, downloaded from the Cydia application.
Please, if you will Jailbreak your iPad know that jailbreaking is a free process. Do not fall for those sites that ask you to pay money in order for your iPad to be jailbroken. It is important you know that doing so can void your warranty on you iPad. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
in order to have the right Firmware on my iPad I used this site:

I had an old case for my iPad and I glued a GoPro mounting bracket
Have ordered a ursa mini 4k ef and looking for a monitor sulotion, think the damn smallHD is soo pricey for what you get, if i bought a retina ipad and use it would be perfect, or if i can use my iphone 6s plus.

As long as it's jail broken the app can be downloaded

Emiliano González i did hack the iPad in order to instal the application. To be honest I don’t have that app anymore.

Well for this one is an old one man...... As long as they have a firmware for it to be jailbroken you can do it!

Toni102 Forever if you meant the jib crane...... well I made the top part using two old stands I had sitting there and a couple brackets from the hardware store and the tripod as the bottom.

Does it work with Nikon d5300?
I believe Nikon has its own way of doing it. Canon doesn't so that's why we have to jailbreak an iPad and install a program to do it. But I'm not an Nikon guy so I'm not 100% lol

in this forum, the guy GLASSEStheRAPPER reported that he is using DSLR Controller on his iPad 1. I'm not sure if it's true, but it's worth try it.
