I love it every time you can bring up the old Sony VAIO laptops. They were quite amazing laptops for their time. I really wish Sony still made them
You can still buy them. the brand "VAIO" is still around just not made by Sony.
And they are pretty crappy now, some even made by "positivo informática".

i love the replaceable battery. nice to find a convertible ultrabook with a somewhat off the shelf battery that can be replaced with just a screwdriver.
That's most ultrabook. Only Macs are glued down
HP laptops on the whole aren't bad for this. Their Probooks especially are very repairable.
Nearly all laptops have replaceable batteries. That is part of EU Law.
Yes, except the tiny problem is HP doesn't directly sell their laptop batteries to consumers.

Although no dGPU makes it only really a competetor to the Surface pro but in the same form factor as the Laptop Studio.
This design reminds me of my old Sony Vaio laptop back in 2014. Flipped the same way like that. I like this design though.
The pleather is nice, something different than all the other plastic/metal laptops out there.
Exept it completely degrades after a few years. Might be fine for some people but I keep using a laptop for ages (my current one is 8 years old and still going strong, albeit with a few upgrades along the way). I'd much rather have real leather, not only does it last ages but wears nicely. At least its replaceable though.
Looks great. Still amazed by my Elitebook x360 1030 g3, haven't felt any reason to upgrade for the longest of any device I've owned.

I fell in love with this device...and that's the biggest mistake I made because HP isn't offering this device as configurable outside the US.
Shame to HP to only offer this device as configurable in the US. I spoke to a Dutch sales rep and the only version they offer in the Netherlands is the i5-1235U with 16Gb RAM...they just don't want my $4,594.00...🤑🤬

I like pull forward 2in1 so much better than 360

This is a direct replacement for the HP Spectre Folio. They got rid of a full inch of the chin.

I had no clue trend micro was on mobile. My school gave us licenses when i was in college. It was pretty good. 'd recommend, but i wouldn't buy it myself tbh lol. I don't go anywhere suspect and windows defender is fine for me right now. And I have my own vpn thing. Im sure itd be useful for other people tho
I love the look but prefer a standard flippy two-in-one. If using pull-forward mode, the overall table footprint is the same as normal laptop mode whereas a two-in-one can be used in its more efficient tent mode.

@@derguutebabobauer Good question, I don't really know but at least where I worked the tech team had a budget and there was always money left over at the end of the year, so they didn't have concerns about price. Also, and counter to what I just stated, sometimes they'd see which laptop gave the best discount for quantity orders. Tech guys are a weird bunch.
Reason for the price is the quality. Cheaper laptops dont come this thin and with many features as this. You wont see tablet pen, folding lid, thin bezel, etc.
Sure its mostly cosmetics but regular laptop are just as good minus the cosmetics. Youre basically paying for miniaturization and tablet features in a sleek body. Business oriented laptops arent known for value and usually are vastly overpriced.

thank you so much for calling it faux leather because im seriously get tired of the term "vegan leather".....especially since there is no such thing. When referring to leather its either fake or real. Unless they are referring to the cow itself.....all cows are vegan(herbivores) so its still not needed. Unless they are making leather from a new kind of cow that is an omnivore. So if you have the new breed of omnivore cow and one chooses to be vegan, and you make leather from it, thats the only time using the term vegan leather that it would be accurate.
