I actually used to have the original toy when I was a kid. I didn't realize that it was He-Man because I only grew up watching the original and the 200X series. So I was like, "I'll just pretend it's He-Man." It was only years later that I learned the existence of the New Adventures series, and I realized my old toy was He-Man the whole time. I lost the toy a long time ago, and I'm really sad that I did. I really want to pick up this new He-Man figure. It brings back se really nice childhood memories.
Great review you made to show how amazing this figure looks in hand. The armor and helmet really change the appearance of the figure to give you more bang for your buck. I really like how this He-Man turned out in the Masterverse line.

Nice! What completely agree with you that the helmet accessory is sweet. Back in the day too few toys had detachable helmets and those that did were usually ridiculously large or the head was too small. I think my favorite vintage figure with a helmet is Princess Leia in the Bosch disguise. The helmet was rubbery but fit and looked awesome

I think there was a spaceship on the show called Starship Eternia and somehow He-Man would get the Power of Grayskull through that ship like a conduit between him and Castle Grayskull because he was on a different planet and in the future. That's why he said By the Power of Eternia. There is a old playset of that ship.
Yep, I am familiar with the Starship but I don't recall it being a conduit. But then again, it's been forever since I watched the show. 😀 That is really interesting, thank you for sharing that.
I was gonna try my hand at a review, but you did and said everything I was going to, and then some! Like you, I didn't like "New Adventures," until I returned to it as an adult. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure, but I love that the cast went on to voice in Beast Wars and the 200x He-Man series! (Gary Chalk played He-man, and went on to play Man-at-Arms and Whiplash, and Scott McNeill practically played half the cast in both shows! Campbell Lane, who played a very charismatic NA Skeletor, also made a brief appearance as the yeti-like King Chooblah in "Trust!") Great review, it was so cool seeing all the previous Masterverse He-men together like that!

One of my hommies saw him in Target last week. I asked him to pick it up for me and I traded the He-Man for GI Joe's Classified Bazooka, which my hommie asked to me to pickup for him also. It was a fair trade to me. But to answer your question, this He-Man is showing up in Target stores now.
I have mine on preorder as well. I'm wondering if I can go into a target and find one and go to customer service desk and ask them to manually override the price to match the online discount.

Awesome video as always. I remember seeing this design as a kid and while I was a bit thrown at first I always liked the simplicity of this design. I'm happy that we're getting an update of this figure and definitely plan on buying. Funny enough I'm strongly considering getting the NECA Flash Gordon figure as well as the Ming the Merciless to pair with this figure for photos!

I Got mine about Two Weeks Ago at A Target Near bye. But I think that Mattel Drop the ball on the Sword and Shield. They Should have been Glow in the Dark Just like how they glow in the Box Art🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻. But I guess I’m just being Picky…
I was honestly never really a fan of the original cartoon or the second cartoon. I preferred the mini-comics and regular comics, and the movie. I liked that the rebooted He-Man basically had a golden green lightsaber. And I had the roleplay toy power sword as a kid. I was disappointed that the power sword in the cartoon was just a regular steel blade and not a glowing energy sword. I did appreciate that the rebooted show looked and felt more like Thundercats though. And I absolutely love this figure.
Perhaps they felt the glowing green sword was too Star Wars lightsaber-ish to incorporate in the series and/or it broke too much of the power sword lore that came before it (since the series is treated more like a time-traveling sequel than a reboot?) It would be interesting to find out! 🙂
I would never waste my money on all those He-Man figures. Battle Armor is the only one I want in my collection. Now I wish they would release a Battle Armor Skeletor. To me, this New Adventures He-Man is nothing but a wasted space that could've been used for a better character like Sy-Klone, Classic Style Moss-Man, a snake man or another POP character. If they're going to make New Adventures or 87 Movie characters they should start getting some Snakemen made too. Who the F actually cares about New Adventures???

The comic proves you could potentially redeem New Adventures by doing something cool with it. The idea itself wasn't the problem, it was the poor quality of the episodes and especially the horribly miscast voice acting. I did end up getting this figure because they did a good job with it, and I like to pretend there could be a version of New Adventures fans could be proud of lol.
Some fans find this series their favorite childhood incarnation of He-Man, but I do personally wish we could have seen what Filmation would have done with it. Glad you like the figure though! 🙂
