The helicopter pilot wasnt the one handling the helicopter pilot. Believe it or not there is a second pilot facing backwards almost like a tail gunner and he's looking out of a plexi glass window looking down. It's pretty cool

we were called steeple jacks back in the day.early 6o .I did this kind of work for over 20 years.and yes we were grossly under payed .I started building towers for $ 1.50 pr hour 7 dollars a day for expenses .but you could buy a good meal for 75 cents
So hand tight bolts are enuff to secure the tower so chopper can drop load and leave ? Wild to think about. I'm not a mech engineer, and I'm sure its been worked out. If anyone can explain the mechanics of such I'd appreciate it

This men are specialist doing quick structural errection jobs , they are riggers , erectors . Long hours of preparation and short time of completion , they are paid well per contract , not daily wages
I guess some poor suckers have to do sheet like this for a living. Im glad im not one of them. Their underwear cleaning/replacement bill would offset the pay benefits. Of course i suppose they could do it naked from the waist down and just let er fly like big bird do.

I have a question. Doesn’t the crew on the tower need a grounding rod to touch the antenna with first? There is static electricity built up by the rotors and then they grab the dangling cables. It could ground threw one of the workers. Maybe I missed that part.
reddogg dier . Cable tricks. You put them in to designated holes so you know the direction that the antenna needs to be landing towards and lined up to, so not to guess and end up with it backwards

It will. 1. Mechanically, by release lever at the collective, if fails...2nd option 2. Pyrotechnic cutter, switch still at the collective..if fails..3rd option.. 3. Manually cut the cable using cable cutter.

The tower is isolated, no ground present, therefore no electrical path.
