What makes it even special for Ron I bet was that Scott Armstrong (Road Dogg's brother and close friend with Truth) was the referee. Brazil was as well. I think the poster means first NWA-TNA champ.
@@antwanscott97 2002-2009 was TNA's Golden Era; 2010-2013 was the ill-fated Hulk Hogan era and now that TNA is called Impact Wrestling I will see it on Pursuit Channel every Friday alongside NJPW and WOW on AXS TV; MLW on beIN Sports and since September WWE SmackDown on FOX Sports! I will say: "Friday Night Is Pro Wrestling Night!"
06 to early 2010 it out did the WWE . Once Hogan arrived Impact became part WWE lite part WCW tribute show! Thankfully the Essence of the original company has returned. Impact has that similar feel it did in the early years now.
Ron killing aka r Truth won he's first world champion twice in tna (Impact wrestling) he need to quit WWE if he can't win the rumble and go back Impact wrestling.
This is the vibe they need to recreate. Those crowds are nuts. Makes a roll up look like snuka jumping from the cage! Sad to see some of the guys who disappeared and deserved more.
Unfortunately that's true, but most also most of the wrestlers who are not homegrown talent or a favorite of Vince McMahon become jobbers in WWE. I'm glad AJ Styles wasn't one of them
Antoine Scott I agree with you up until Jeff Hardy. His run in tna was good, but he had a better career in wwe. Right now I think where he’s at in wwe is ok because he’s not the same in the ring he use to be. But his wwe with multiple tag titles, wwe title, world title, us title, intercontinental title, and other moments was better
@@antwanscott97 I agree with you, but don't forget about one person, Gail Kim. Gail is a prime example of someone having a better career in TNA/Impact as opposed to WWE. But its sad that as big as WWE likes to think they are and how much money they have, they suck at having true talent on their roster for a long time because they don't know how to use them.
Watching these videos make me sad because what TNA could have been and what it is now. Granted, it's not as bad as it once was and I'd even consider it good -- but they never recovered from when Hulkamania ran wild all over their booking.
@@annmuturi7438 well actually, it does. A jobber is someone who consistently loses to make the other opponent look stronger. Truth WAS a dancing jobber.
Shame to see what happened to Ron Killings, the man had so many amazing moments in TNA (from winning the NWA Worlds title to 3-Live Kru) all the way to fucking dance breaks on Smackdown. Still don’t know how THAT happened 🤨
TNA was a good promotion. But this is not TNA anymore. Like Bruce Prichard said...TNA is dead!! Anthem need to stop disrespecting the legacy of TNA. They should have introduced IMPACT Wrestling as a new company. New belts and new title history records. Jeff Jarrett is so stupid he should have kept the TNA video library. This is like turning WCW in to and independent promotion.
R-Truth the first recognized black NWA World Heavyweight Champion
I though Bobo Brazil was the first.
What makes it even special for Ron I bet was that Scott Armstrong (Road Dogg's brother and close friend with Truth) was the referee.

His look on his face PRICELESS
The asylum had ALOT of great moments and matches
TNA is indeed a historic legendary wrestling promotion. It was better than WWE from 2008-2013.
More 2011-2013. 2008 was a great year for WWE

yeah, i remember during 2011 i would swap to tna and prefer the promos in tna much more, and the stars there
That spiral tap was totally wicked
Look up when AJ becomes the first X-Division. That Spiral Tap looks fucking great.
Truth looks basically the same today. Black doesn't crack I guess.
@Kev Walthall He ages well. He still wrestles the same as well pretty much.
Really happen rtrurth is a NWA world heavyweight champion i cant believe that
I remember it I was 13 that was a big deal back then he was the first African American to win the N.W.A. world championship
Back when he mattered
He won it twice

It's funny to see that R-Truth was an NWA World Champion, cause he's basically irrelevant in WWE nowadays

Awesome classic matches here...I like the classics.🤘🤘👍👍
I miss the Asylum
They're going back there this Sunday at their Homecoming PPV.
Ron "The Truth" Killings for NWA World Heavyweight Champ... So nostalgic...
Only in Impact can Black people accomplish greatness unlike other places...
Jay Lethal Ring of Honor?
AYEE 2002-2010 WAS TNA... Talent came an left, finished careers....
Sadness the Tv Deal didn't go through with spike...
Hope we get some great old TNA stars at Homecoming
This was a great era of wrestling. Miss the TNA originals
Golden Age of TNA was from 2004 - 2008
Style's had the historic win
Back when AJ Styles didn't look like a Soccer Mom.
That was beautiful.
Weird seein Scott do a normal count.
Good stuff
We will never get this time again. Memories 👌
Plz Bring Back Don West And Mike Teney
Bring back Mike Tenay and Tazz too
West and Tenay were an all time great pairing
Matt Bentley was a guy who was majorly underrated and would've been a great fit nowadays
That move was crazy in the cage by wildcat Chris Harris
Truth looks so surprised that he won the title
Because black people don't usually accomplish much in wrestling.
Greatest moments
Ed Ferrara was underrated as an announcer
That spiral tap is inhuman

Cool. Wrestling
The greatest golden era of nwa tna
There were way more better moves then skippers crossbody ...but kazs super cutter and legdrop were maybe the 2 bests
