This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Gentleman Reserve privé is better than Dior homme intense. I love the booziness of Givenchy. Hope you're able to do a fragrance review of it here soon

Agreed with Interlude Black Iris. That’s definitely my current “special occasion” scent. Amazing stuff. 🤤 Zaharoff Signature is lovely stuff too, great choice. If you like that, it’s worth checking out MFK Masculin Pluriel - another similarly classy “modern” fougere style scent that I feel deserves more love. 🙌🏻

Tobacco Vanille is a classy fragrance but I think Vanille Fatale is even classier! Have you had a chance to smell it? It’s so good. It’s got the most beautiful plum note in it that scratches my Plum Japonais itch. I can’t get my hands on a bottle of PJ (unless I want to spend £400 on a 50ml, no thanks) so Vanille Fatale is my dumb reach plum and vanilla fragrance.
I'm not a huge fan of pdm bc I find a lot of their scents not mature, but I really love Nisean. It is an amazing fragrance for the boardroom or dressing up in suits. It is a manly fragrance and very powerful smelling. Best worn by a man in a managing or superior position.

The other possible Creed scent would be Bois du Portugal. Maybe Millesime Tabarome. But Royal Mayfair to me smells like moth balls. Eucalyptus bomb. Can't recommend it. The best Tom Ford's for a classy occasion are Oud Wood and Ombre Leather. And if it's a Sunday event (my association), the Beau de Jour. Maybe even Fougere D'Argent. If it's a more mundane classy event then even maybe Grey Vetiver. All of those before Tobacco Vanille. A few other possibilities for my classy occasion: Oud for Greatness by Initio Tartan by Sarah Baker Bois Mystique by Houbigant Fougere Royale (2010) by Houbigant Bel Ami by Hermes Terre d'Hermes by Hermes Floris Elite

You can view it that way, or you can consider it the best in that line. Not having bought every single gentleman out there, RP Is very satisfying in my view.

Givenchy Private could have been a great fragrance, but there wasn't too much of a risk there and it ended up being yet another in that line.
