"Everywhere are nice people. If I have a problem, people help me" This is what the worls needs to know! Unfortunately everyone has developed distorted images of what the world is. The Himba people are incredible. For many of us their life is unimaginable, but they are happier than all of us together. Thank you for sharing Noraly!

Hey Noraly we love you. Your experiences with these African people is helping the world to see how beautiful people usually are. I Hondad through PNG in my young days even through dangerous zones but being friendly with people saved my skin...only once I had to drop my bike and run. Later married a gorgeous Aussie girl had 44yrs of the rest of her life together I am still so warm in my heart from her memory. Our first year we spent in West Sepik village called Yakimbole PNG then near her home in Australia. We travelled for a precious visit to Europe and again found wonderful people. Flessingen in Holland for my Karen to meet cousins etc. Across to England we drove up to Scotland arriving BNB after dark in freezing cold. The landlady heard my unmistakable Eng/Aussie accent and refused a room. Told her I had a frozen Aussie girl in the hire car....she pushed me aside and went out brought her in! Hot water bottles tea and scones. Later arrived late in Paris after catching wrong bus from Calais I studied the rail map in a central station which looked like a bloodshot eye looking for Gar de Nord where I had booked a hotel (an hotel). A ‘greasy Morrocan’ guy sidled to me to offer help. My wife was gorgeous like you but I figured ‘what can he do to us?’. He led us past locked ticket offices slipped his own coins into machines bought tickets (refused my cash) then left us at a lower platform for “next train”. Later New York we landed New Jersey not JFK but a US businessman behind us overheard our confusion on the transit bus and waited whilst our bags were unloaded then took us to street level, hailed a cab, came with us to Central Station then explained what we should do!!! Would not take a dime!! Rest of my life I have dedicated to buying coffee for anyone, doing my best for when needed and had a fantastic life. I get you! Understand your attitude...keep going please, if ever you need a friend by now you have many of us so never hesitate to share your joie de vie we will always be here for you.....

Always good to bring gifts, the appreciation of an old culture. Interesting the village how they protect themselves and their animals with the wooden fence. Always get a kick out of the children their curiosity and playfulness .. enjoy how you throw yourself into trying out a village tradition ... and how the ladies enjoyed it. When you are used to western comforts, their life looks difficult because it would be to you. To them, it's the only life that they know, so it's normal and comfortable to them. When you're used to a certain way from childhood, it's generally comfortable. Relativity is the word. The narrative that kids in Africa have it rough is often garbage. We have very fond memories of our childhoods, which westerners think was torment.

Just when I'm sure one of your episodes could not be more amazing and mesmerizing...here came this episode. I was absolutely glued to the screen and the dialog for your visit to this village. My heart is still broken for the people who lost all their cattle and are struggling...because of other humans' actions. I wish we could all do more. But I am sending you a donation to the journey because, who knows, you may be able to offer such a gift to others, people that, unknowing to them, touch and gladden our hearts. Thank you so much!

You interaction with all the folks in that village is a great lesson to the rest of us. We are all related on this small orb we call home. We need to share like you do to others. The gift you give us of seeing people, places and things we may never experience is a great gift. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING! We love you! be safe! Almost forgot to add,I like your new co-star. I'm curious -- as a geologist, do you know if the red ochre in Namibia is similar to red ochre in other parts of the world? Or is it unusual and very different?
I absolutely love the _otjize_ paste which the women wear, and although I have some of the omumbiri plants that give it its wonderful scent, I'm curious if other red ochre would work?
