It is so nice to see Rick so positive, even when dealing with a less than ideal shot. It's so refreshing to see him not so hard on himself! Well done Rick!
To the editor, I really appreciated the little white circle around the hole on the 5th hole. Sometimes it is easy to lose where the hole is, so that was a nice touch!
Awesome video again. Less pressure on yourself when playing alone. Would luv to see a video of you showing the etiquette of the course, from arrival, clubhouse, on-course, rules, warm up, through to the first tee.
It's funny to think that Rick's really alone here, because who is shooting all this then? He still has to put his game together for the people who accompany him with cameras.
I dont understand people being negative, even nasty with the comments. If you dont like it, dont watch ??? Personally i like watching, the good and the not great, because its relatable.
when are you playing Pebble Beach and Spyglass? you need to get there, I played last year for first time. I had even 72 on Pebble so you need to beat that :)@@RickShielsPGA
Not only was this excellent golf on a great course, but Rick’s positivity was absolutely a joy to watch. Even with a few mistakes and tough breaks, he stayed even keeled and was genuinely having fun. Great work!
Great video! I’m sure I’m not the only one in seeing a big mental change in Rick’s game.. much more focus on the positives and deals well with shots that don’t fully work out.. Breaking 80 on the regular now.. and that sub 74 is coming! Keep it up!
What a course that is Rick. You played some of your best rescue shots ever. Superb putting and your chipping seems to have improved ten fold in as many rounds. Loved this vid. Thanks
Hi Rick, great video. You'll probably never see this but wanted to give you my 2 cents. Your swing has definitely improved and it's noticeable. 1 thing I did notice (especially on your bad drives) is that you have a tendency to "lift" the club or "hinge" your wrist to fast on your back swing. I think if you "dragged" the club head lower and longer, feel like you're extending your arms back further, and then letting your arms and wrist hinge naturally, your backswing and timing will be better. Cheers.
5:50 best swing ive seen you have in 5 years. Slower swing speed Better posture Good turf interaction Nice pop off face. Your not swinging ur arms too fast like you used to do and cupping your wrists so much . anymore. Bravo.👍👍👏👏👏👏
I have been watching Rick's channel for nearly a year now. I find it very interesting in the last year of Ricks golf game the excuses he comes up with are getting more frequent. Also, when he hits a bad shot, he magically not only finds it, but it is away from danger in a good place with a decent lie. What I see is that the ball would have been lost, out of bounds, blocked out or just in an uneven precarious lie. Most likely he would have had to go back to the box and drop to hit his third. Most of his second shots that he takes after magically find his first Carma catches up with him and he duffs a chip, hits a branch, sand bunker, fly's the green. I am not a hater really, just calling them as I see it. I still like the channel, but I got you on an 86 this round Rick. P.S. Guy is fun to watch he seems to be honest and plays a truthful golf game.
Been watching a long time Rick and that was possibly some of your best putting ever. Was a pleasure to watch. Hope I can putt that well this coming season!
You make a good point, @rickshields hasn’t been the most consistent but he has represented us!!!! It’s so nice to witness the struggle and the victory! I love it!!!
It's so good to see you back in a good mental golf head again, mate. From the video you posted a year ago that on your podcast, you said you almost didn't post coz it was so bad. You are your own biggest fan/best teammate out there! Great to hear Rick complimenting the good aspects of the shot before discussing the parts that didnt quite work out. That mentality alone translated to a much more positive round overall (at least from my point of view!) Great stuff again!
really happy with Rick’s attitude I hope he can stay upbeat and enjoy the attempt. great energy and vibe. congrats Rick I’m glad to see. I hope you keep it going!
Great video and good to see Rick enjoying the round and remaining positive throughout the round. Also awesome to see the fruit of your labour coming through keep it it
Very cool. You narrating the shot descriptions and strategy is the best on TH-cam. The little introduction to the new driver was a nice touch for the viewers too. Maybe in the descriptions you could list a what's in the bag for each round too? Then a little commentary if anything in the bag has changed. Just a thought.
I love Rick. Especially when he talks himself into a foolish shot lol. I have three options. Take a 3 percent chance of hitting well driver off the deck. 3 wood which I admit I'm not hitting well. Or a 170 shot that would leave me 100 yards into wind which I could be strong with as the wind will knock it down. Gosh I really want a birdie. Let's go with driver off the deck. 🤣😂🤣. Come on brother! Course management is your friend. Either way, love the content as always pal! Keep up the amazing work! 🙏
That was a really well crafted round of golf, great to watch. Let’s face it, those two lip-outs drop and you’re in for 75. Really well played Rick. I do like your collaborations etc but it is nice to see you get back to filming these break 75’s.
Fantastic video as always. Course looks awesome and I have to say, you seemed totally relaxed and enjoying yourself. Envious of the courses you get to play
Rick; I love your Break 75 series! Just a course management question: why hit driver on both of the short par 4's? In my playing days I would have hit my hybrid on both holes and then wedge in! Sometimes its easier as an arm chair caddy! Lol
Keep with the positive attitude! it really makes the videos an easy watch! Nice to see you enjoying it! If them two lipouts drop you have an amazing 75!
Really enjoyed the video again, love the attitude these days. I think we can all agree that the statement about hitting branches is universally true. "One in a million chances crop up 9 times out of 10" 😂 (Terry Pratchett)
Amazing content, goes to show when the bells and whistles are removed Mr Rick's channel is just pure golf and presented by a great personality. Solo break 75 is mega. Great to see you positive!
Someone’s been working on their mental game! Great to see Rick so positive and moving past the bad shots quickly. Lovely course as well, although compared to the muddy swamp that my home course currently is I’m quite jealous.
Really enjoyed just watching you playing alone. Love Guy, Iona, and your pro guests but sometimes it's nice to just have you and the fans for a pleasant round.
Love break 75! One video I would like to see. A video of you playing with a professional caddie and commentator. Full concentration throughout the round 👌🏻
I spent my last holidays in Florida and played in Miami and Orlando. Just amazing!! It‘s so different compared to the courses here in Europe. Hope you enjoyed it there Rick!
Some great golf played 👌🏼 the positive mindset definitely made a difference Got to say this course is absolutely stunning 😍 and I thought the filming / edit was also on point 🔥
MUCH BETTER mental approach in this round, good to see Rick give himself some credit for good shots/putts, and not beat himself up over the bad ones. No double bogeys, plus there were 2 or 3 lip-outs that could have dropped. This 77 could have been a 75 or 74 pretty easily, and that was with Rick spraying his driver quite a bit. This time the short game carried Rick, and honestly that was also refreshing to see since it's usually the pitching/chipping that gives him fits.
Hey Rick, been watching for a while. Great video mate! Keep it up. You don't even need celebrity crossovers for a good watch. Happy golfing from Australia
Rick just gives me good vibes seems like such a fun guy too hang around or play a round with I no joke check his channels all the time to see if there’s a new drop, and your the first TH-cam golfer I ever watched a year or two later and I’m hooked! Ps who won the drivers??
What I really like about Rick is that he appreciates the little details, stitching on cart, flag quality, beautiful course, he seems to still enjoy it even after he surely has seen it all.

I suspect he's been reading the comments complaining about his whinging
Probably saving some of it for later because it's so good . Like Ricks videos usually are . Class act
"Only one sensible option" he says, preparing to hit driver off the deck.
I love it.
To the editor, I really appreciated the little white circle around the hole on the 5th hole. Sometimes it is easy to lose where the hole is, so that was a nice touch!

It’s crazy to me, if he broke 75 every time what would the point of the series be? People are so miserable.
The best golf channel. The break 75 series is elite.
Thanks so much
