7 years in the making, and it’s finally here. Thank you to all the 50,000 people that helped put this world class transport system together, we truly are some of the luckiest people in the world.
It is great that the section from Chatswood to Sydenham is now open. It was a long time coming, but, it was worth the wait. I was on a metro train when it ran for the first time in 2019. The train that I was on was very crowded, but, the travelling public experienced a different way of travelling by train. I have been on the metro many times since that first time going from Chatswood to Epping.
Thanks to Gladys and the Liberals getting most of this done back in 2019. Great day opening by you and Labor with this extension under Sydney Harbour, through the city and onto Sydenham. Let's hope the next Western Sydney Airport line, M1 extension to Bankstown, and Sydney Metro West will be just as great. Finally, Sydney is catching up with the world. Thank goodness.
I went on it this evening and it was a 10 out of 10. I really enjoyed it. I think it is great that they have finally opened up the new section because it will change Sydney.
I love the Sydney Metro because it’s way faster journey and the usual train because of it to the city. I can catch it to the city without changing trade to touchwood changing train to
Will there be more metro trains? It's impossible to get a seat after martin place. I remember they once said everyone can get a seat because trains will arrive every two minutes. Hopefully, today was only so crowded because it was the first day.
Once the train reaches capacity, they will get 7 or 8 carriages long train instead of 6. If you look at both ends of the of the station they area to convert into doors

Jo is so suave and well spoken , I sometimes look at her and the fact that she is our transport minister is amaze balls. I mean she is the hottest transport minister of all i guess 🤩
Just a big waste of tax money. Existing transport was OK. what about regional communities.? The warringah freeway upgrade is another example of the state Govt getting their priorities wrong.
Agree to a point. Sydney does desperately need vast improvements when compared to other global cities of her size. The real problem does not get addressed however. A much higher percentage of our population used to live in regional and country areas prior to the mass immigration post WW2 times. The trend changed significntly and if nothing is done Sydney will never keep up with the required infrastructure.
