★ 4K 🇵🇱 Winter on Polish rails, Poznań - Zbąszynek cab ride [12.2021]

- Welcome to another video from Poland. We're travelling between Poznań (Posen) & Zbąszynek, a section of the main line connecting Berlin and Warsaw. The line was opened in 1870, originally built by the kingdom of Prussia, just before the founding of the German empire in 1871.
Pre World War I, the entirety of this trip was on German territory. After world war I, the Treaty of Versailles saw Poland becoming a sovereign state again after its territory had been annexed by the Russian, Prussian and Austrian forces by 1793. We will be crossing the subsequent former border between Poland and Germany towards the end of the video, at timestamp 1:00:25. After the second world war, Polands border was expanded to the Oder river to the west.
I find the history of Poland very fascinating and have included the former German names of the stops along the way, for those who are interested. Finding information on bridges has been difficult, however it can be assumed that most if not all bridges were destroyed during the wars and subsequently rebuilt.
The signalling shares a lot in common with signalling in eastern Germany. The lower section of signals indicate the allowable speed while the upper section is the distant signal. A few aspects include blinking lights, which increase the information that can be given with a limited number of lights.

I adore snow, we rarely get it in south-east England. As always, beautiful video :)
Thank you!
Thank you very much for this new video. Without a doubt this is one of the best TH-cam channels dedicated to CabRide. Greetings from Spain
Many thanks!
i love these countries in winter wow
Hello and best regards from the new channel.
The winter scenes showed in this clip makes me feel comfortable and calm, worth my waiting.
Thank you!
Your channel is always amazing but seeing a different country and railway system is fantastic. Keep up the excellent work and thank you.
Nice to see the old German place names too.
Awesome video. Once again it proves that you really do "Rock"
Well worth the wait Lorirocks !!
KoziTv did a good job of recording the route, and you did a fine job with explaining the Polish German border history!!!
recently i just bought 65” 4K TV in my room. Turn off all the light in my room then watch your video. That feeling is amazing. Thanks
Awesome =)
Fantastic journey! Really great scenery. Enjoyed every minute of this! Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
Excellent cab ride with explanation. Love your videos. Bravo.
Very interesting details on local history! Much appreciated!
Awesome video and enjoyed the trip a lot. Thank you, Lori, and Kozi for sharing an awesome trip through Poland.
Thank you Feliciana!
Thank you very much for this new video.Very nice.
Thank you fir this video and for the interesting cab ride. Interesting for your historical.comments about the border between Germany and Poland.
Welcome back with your amazing video.
Nice to see the Polish countryside again. Thank you.
A timely history lesson and a nice surprise visit to the maintenance siding at the end - thank you Kozi and Lorirocks777 \m/
Right on, thank you so much. First time in Poland...
Great views, thanks from Italy !!!
Thanks for sharing Nice video i liked it very much
Very nice scenery and interesting historical information.

Wonderful images of the train! Like from Palma de Mallorca 👍
Thanks!Super!
Excellent cabview video!
Gee it looks cold outside maybe -10c ,nice journey ,there's not much cover on some of the stations cheers bob.🛤🚆🍺🍾🦐🍩🍌🦘🐨🤠🥳😁
---- Mich schaudert😱👻
😄
@Norbert K. I like to think I'm a pretty observant person but I completely missed that one. Saw plenty of people beamed both down from and up to the Enterprise, but not the spectre express. Great catch!
@@michaela.chmieloski3196 It's going to be like that 😀
Amazing cabview video!
Thank you
New idea good content in TH-cam 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤❤
thank you
Arkadaşım yeni video güzel olmuş teşekkür eder herkeze sağlıklı günler dilerim.🙏
Amazing cab view, very relaxing to watch. Can you please explain what “Hauptschalter neutral section” means at 46:20?
It's a section of catenary without power that seperates two power networks.
@@lorirocks777 Thanks for explaining that
Luar biasa keren 👍
Interesting to see new places! Moreover, I not seen Polish routes yet.
I am dreaming on going to a cab ride on winter.
Saludos y gracias
Funny observation: That passing IC train at 26:33 is pulled by Taurus seen shunting at Poznań Main Station.
4K still processing
now it's processed

Hello. Klasse video 🎥🛤️🛤️🛤️🛤️🛤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Thanks.... Fim 🚂👮♂️
Very nice😎
I know virtually nothing about Poland's railroads, lorirocks, but I do know that being in Poznan puts this video close to where the country's last steam locomotive operated in regular service between Wolsztyn and Leszno until just a few years ago. My dearly departed nextdoor neighbor was from Zielona Góra and she gave me a Polish newspaper clipping announcing the end of service. Now that would have been a nice cab ride!
The first ten minutes viewing this video, something just felt a bit off. Then I realized the train was running on the right-hand track and that this is what was messing with my meager mind!
25:54 at Buk. Holy crap, the Poles don't mind operating their trains on close headways, do they?! That high-speed express was right on this train's heals. Wow!
1:03:51 A standing water column! Double wow! Wonder if it works?
1:06:49 An inspection pit to accommodate the entire train? Must be working on a quick turn-around.
Thank you for filming this, KoziTV, and thanks for posting it, lorirocks. Despite what others may comment, a railroad cab ride video under any condition(s) short of a black screen is better than no video at all.
Thanks a lot. As for the express that overtook us, I cut out about 3 minutes of video - I should have mentioned that.
@@lorirocks777 Ah, yes, commenter Norbert K.'s ghost train apparition. Editing for time hadn't occurred to me. My bad!
sehr toll. Völlig unbekannte Gegend.
The boy was vanished at first station🤣
😂
Very nice video (a relaxing ride!). I note that the engineer sounds the train's horn in a number of places where there isn't a visible grade crossing. What is the reasoning for that?
I'm not sure what the regulations are in Poland. I'll see if I can ask the driver.

56:13 często tu nagrywam i 56:42 tu tez polecam zobaczyć moje filmy z tych miejsc
How about a video of the rear view?
I have a few dual view videos, look for the 2×🎥

What’s happened train rides winter in Switzerland ????
Plenty to come. I'm juggling a lot of videos at the moment =)

HI there, firstly thanks for sharing such great content across Europe, specially your swiss travels truly marvelous.
Can you please explain what is a neutral section and restrictions are implemented in the train movement.
Love & Repect From India.
Hi. Thank you! Neutral sections are parts of the catenary that have no voltage. They seperate 2 live sections with different sources, meaning the sine waves are not synchronised and a short circuit would occur if they were to touch.
Train has got flats on the wheels🤔🤔
@Ben Chuft I'm a railway engineer...37 years...I fix trains...I notice things that others wouldn't😃👍
👏👏👏👏👏👏🌿 Of Brazil.
"...pay more attention next time and choose a train that does not produce the annoying noise of this one..." You make it sound like the engineer gets to take every single multiple-unit for a test drive so as to tell the trainmaster, "I'll take this one." Or that when called to service the engineer can tell the dispatcher, "No, I'll take the train after the next one." You should have followed Mark Twain's advice and not commented, rather than removing all doubt.
The clunk of one of the wheels is a common occurrence across the rail sector. Can happen when a driver has had to brake harshly and the wheel slides along creating a flat spot. Repairable but not essential....
And it gives the train some charcter too !
@@michaela.chmieloski3196 EN57 is a 60 year old train ;)
🤦
finally its here
