It's all I use. Had it close to two years now, and I do weekly water changes on a 90 gallon! Yes, it does smell, but you don't go waving it around. Be quick with it!
Fish stores will tell you dose the entire volume of tank mainly because they sell seachem! Lol. I only dose what's added because what's in there should not contain chlorine
should dose based on tank size. you only dose based on amount of water if you are using buckets and dosing water in the bucket first before you add the water in. if you are adding water straight into the tank from a hose then dose for entire tank volume.
I’m new to the fish community. I’ve bought the liquid form…should I be using a whole cap full just for a 5 gallon? Also is it okay to combine the liquid version of this product and API stress coat?
I have a question, I want see if you ever pre mixed like a gallon jug and then just does the tank like prime. I’m sure this can be done. But I guess I’m looking for a great answer lol
Hey. You can but, there is always a but, the problem is stability. Prime is buffered and stabilized but safe powder is not. If you are going to use all of it that day go ahead and premix. Seems an extra step to me but you do you!
was changing almost 500 gal of water , i added half of bottle of premixed anti chlorine before i went out to get seachem safe , when i reach home , damn koi fish was already at surface , dump in almost 1/4 of the bottle , lol not teaspoon , only one koi died , lucky me .
I use 2 teaspoons safe powder in 120ml of water. This is the same as one teaspoon in 60 ml. That yields 1/60th of a teaspoon in one ml. I think that is the dose for 20 gallon aquarium
Come on guys, It's easy to work it out - SAFE Dose = 1.25g \ 1250 ltr = 0.001 x 25 (25 = the size of your tank in ltrs) = 0.025g, WOW 2.5 hundreths of a gram, so it's a 40th of a gram for my 25 ltr tank

I would only use one or the other
Just dose exactly what directions say

How much to put 50 gal during water chanege
1/24 teaspoon
how much of the safe powder do I use for a 5 gallon tank?
If you ever found out, please tell me. My tank needs a water change extremely soon and need the dosage for a 5 gallon.
it's hard to measure that small really. it's a tiny amount. 1/240 teaspoon or 20mg
Any idea how much to use per 16 oz of water to get the same strength as prime?
what happened to all your big fish and tanks
they must have changed the formula cause the bottle I am reading now says to use 1 scoop 200ml per fifty gallons.
I looked at their website, 200ml for 50 gallons is only for their 50gram container. The other sizes are dosage rate he mentioned.
Can we use this together with carbon?
Yes
How much do you add for a 125 gallon if you are doing 50 percent water change?
1/8 teaspoon does 150g so that would be ok to go over a bit.

👍👍👏
I’ll have you know I’ve never measured it. Now I know how 🤣🤷🏻♀️🖤.

Mine says 1/4 TSP for 1000 liters
1000 liters is 300 gallons
Can you add Safe right in the tank with fish in it. And will the fish be okay if they eat it lol
got some for my tank yesterday it fuckin stinks as a fertilizer ...damn
Lmao. Yes. Actually a sulphur compound so more like rotten eggs but bad is bad!
Came for the math so this is useless
