@@johnacord5664 Hey John, i can't beleive you just used the phrase "Daylight in the swamps" my Dad used to say that 60-years ago at deer camp.. now 60 years later i say that at my Deer Camp in Michigan's Upper Peninsula to wake up my son and the crew.. Joe, you are the perfect Camp host, my Dad loved to welcome everyone up to Deer camp and he cooked up a storm. Sara is a great kid with a great attitude, good job Joe! you raised a good kid...
The one takeaway from all of these videos is the story about a man and his love for his family. The amount of time Joe spends helping his Dad; and the time spent with his kids is what this country is lacking. Regardless of political affiliation the American dream is seen right before our eyes. Proud of you Joe and Fam!!

First time in many years me and my buddies aren't sitting at the local pub watching "Deer Camp" video. Darn lock down.
This is not about shooting deer. It is about the camaraderie of being with those who you enjoy being with. For me, it was about the "herms" - a good bunch of German-Pollacks who cared about sharing memories together in various deer camps. Thanks for the memories.
Thank you Steve. When you first start hunting as a youngster it is all about "the kill" and that in itself is exciting and what keeps you coming back. As you get older and you have experienced that many times, it becomes all about hunting camp. Like you said, it is about memories and stories from hunting camps of the past. The young learn and eventually "hopefully" pass those stories down. It is just a magical thing that some do not understand. You know exactly what I mean.

Got him a camo Jeep he rides through the woods!..........Who knows, maybe Rose will be hunting with you all too!

See Joe Deer are not stupid, they learn to sit and watch what is happening hunter wise, so when deer stands are vacated , they go out to forage and when they hear trucks or footfalls they stay in cover till you guys leave, then its time to go about their nightly foraging, always careful of any wolves going about. Same goes for Scotland except our wolves are fenced in. Cheers Mate for sharing.

It's so awesome your family can spend quality time together like this. I absolutely adore Sarah!!! I have a daughter who is 6. She goes hunting and fishing with me. I hope she still wants to do those things with me when she grows up...😌🙏
Bring lots of snack type food when you go. Even though you really really want to catch a fish, put your rod down and fix that 20th line tangle she has. Keep your frustrations to yourself so she is having a great time. Only be stern when it is a safety issue. She will be there every year.
To spend time with the kids like your doing is priceless

I am packing things up for the third and final weekend. I will head out before light tomorrow. The second weekend hunting video is about half edited. It is a total weather change from this video to the next.

I never get tired of rewatching opening day episodes of deer and duck season. Just finished last years deer opener.

You have a good looking family. What a great bond you guys have. In today's world, not many are that fortunate. I laughed when you told Sara "no cell phone at the table!" I think I said before, I always cook up extra baked potatoes. Then I cut them up with some salt n pepper and olive oil and rebake them in a pan or skillet until they get golden brown. My grandfather is the one who taught me that the baked potatoes skins were the best part of the meal. Every single time I watch one of your videos, memories flood back. I remembered we got two loaves of "pull a part bread". You baked them in the oven about 15 minutes and then buttered the top and then just pulled each slice off the loaf with some nice butter. Meal time with him was the best part of my day. Your kids will have video's of all this in years to come to reflect back and enjoy.

Hello joe and melissa. Yay i been waiting on this, time to kick back and relax. Thankyou joe for a awesome great video. LMAO! SARAH got her purple plums. Im sorry but yucky yucky i tried them once there not for me lol. Geez the weather was nuts joe. Its like that here in Louisiana one day is cold and the next is hot. I killed a 10 point open gun weekend and since then I haven't seen anything. But a coyote and i let my browning 270 give him a dirt nap.
