Yeah they don’t even do the lisp in Barcelona. It’s not a sound in the Catalan language. Barcelona is pronounced “bar-se-lo-nah”.
And the “s” in Messi would never be “th” even in castellano

The different levels of soccer clubs/leagues makes it very difficult to understand. Add that to soccer not being as popular a sport in the USA as football or basketball. International popularity tho, football ⚽ is king ;)

There's already a champions league here. UEFA (europe) region has theirs. CONCACAF (north america & Caribbean) region has their own too. Seattle is the MLS representative for this tournament.
The 2022/23 season will probably be the last season Messi or Ronaldo has at a top European Club. I think both of them are just holding on so that they can give their best at this year's World Cup and go out on a high (particularly Messi). I see Messi and Ronaldo either going to the MLS in 2023 or rejoining their old clubs (Newell's Old Boys and Sporting CP) and having a season or 2 or there before retiring altogether from professional football. We all knew it was coming but now when it's nearing seems as though it is too soon. What both of them have done for the last 15+ years is nothing short of incredible. Both of them have elevated the game's quality and popularity by a huge extent.
I also thought Messi is not pushing himself too much right now so he can be in great shape for the world cup.
Ranaldo seems to be powering through it all so I wish the best for them both 🤝

We could easily sustain another team, and to be honest I'd rather watch a pro soccer team than the boring stuff we've had from the Wings, Tigers, Lions & Pistons the last few years.
A couple down years happen...We will be back to competitive in all those leagues within 2-5 years.

I kinda don't like these big moves because it just bolsters the idea that the MLS is a retirement league but for inter and Messi it's smart ! On inters side it gives you a name player you technically don't have to classify him as a DP and pay him that much as a player because he will be an owner and make money off of ticket sales and jerseys, etc! And Messi goes to Florida which isn't a bad place to live ! But inter need to be careful how they handle this because they already got in trouble once and they have to realize that a quality squad over just signing big names is gonna win them a championship!
