Thank you for showing Midjourney i know its early but your the first TH-camr covering this product that showed that you can generate photos on it i hope others do as well thank you that really helps
I don't know, it just doesn't have any decent foundation like AR/VR Which already worked very well in its first released for the public. The only downside is the lack of good softwares also the way you put it on and it takes time to get used to the motion
This might have its use cases, but I don’t see that I would need this since I can do everything that this does but even more on my iPhone and Apple Watch.
It's the first iteration of the device. They've achieved everything they hoped for by just getting you hooked/interested/ to type that comment. You'll be back in 2-3 years
@@xrr001 I highly doubt we will see second iteration of these devices. There's one thing that we can't already do with our mobile phones and smartwatches.
Close enough to what they promised…? Uhh not at all. 100K pre-sales based on a demo and a boatload of promises that I am not even sure if they can deliver on.
Nice honest review... no product is perfect and I also enjoy the transparency of the dev team. $200 to be a test dummy on tech that could change the way we interact with the world sounds like a good time. Maybe us early adopters will get a discount on future hardware. I'd love to see more wearable hardware with same functionality.
The idea is just so limited unlike AR/VR which already worked really well it's just the lack of softwares. Even smartphone is too limited for me to pay it above $200, let alone Rabbit-R1 which just limited things even further by relying too much on the system
@@toututu2993 how is the idea of a LAM limited? It's current form is limited because it's still in the very early stages. However, being able to train agents to perform tasks is theoretically only limited by one's imagination. LLMs are limited to responses which is why the R1 fills such a void in the AI space. A system that can listen and understand normal speech and then take action.
@@AkaDemX_ Trainning agent sounds pretty good if it works and perform 100% consistently everytime in any situation, but that doesn't change the fact that the idea of you interacting with tech limited. Ai companion device already reaching 85% and that's not a lot left to show
@@toututu2993 first... Nothing works 100% of the time. That's an unrealistic expectation. 2nd I'm not even sure what your talking about "AI companion device already reaching 85%." If that's saying what I think it is, it's clear that you're not very informed about this space, or this device in particular. It's no where near 85% of it's potential. Consider the fact that they claim to have 800 apps trained and only 4 are currently available in the rabbit hole. That puts you at 0.5% for that feature alone. Half a percent of it's potential. And we haven't even addressed teach mode. So how do you reach a figure of 85%? This idea of LAM is in it's infancy. Those that buy this product now will be the guinea pigs, beta testers, data gatherers for this LAM to help it improve. I guess it's either you're uninformed, misinformed or lack vision.
Check out Mike O Brian he reviewed it first and I would have believed your review but everything you asked it to do a smartphone can do better, but the way Mike used it shows how useful it can be to me anyway!
I was sold on this product out of the sheer novelty of it. I preordered mine awhile ago, but don't expect to see it until 2025 😅 But by that time, I'm sure the firmware would be much more fleshed out and reliable. I have faith in this unit. If nothing else, I at least get a real life pokédex.

Can your phone look at your fridge and give you a recipe based on the ingredients it detects in the fridge? Can you point your phone at a computer and ask what the part is and where to buy one?
First off great video and I love your channel but this video showed me that this is a step backwards, phones do all this better at this point...so I'll wait. The design is amazing though, teenage engineering are great product designers.
I feel you on that, and I do agree all these could be done on a device like your smartphone. but someone asked would you pay $20 a month for an app to do this and more for you?
lol sound like R1 was about to hit that brick wall behind you. "She" sounds like a little catty at times too. I will say those Halo / Supes photos came out pretty good though
I can leave my phone in my bag and have this in my pocket, save my phone battery and just pull out my R1 and tell it to tell my phone what to do with no hands... ez
I still don't understand why it has to be separate device from my phone. Apple simply needs to turn on the A.I. switch and these silly A.I. toys are done for.
I think the reason of its existence is to detach away from phone addiction and also to be useful tool for daily task. 2nd reason is to be useful for senior citizen who doesn't use smart phone before and simple to use. And also can be a companion tool for them. This is what I think is the use case scenario.
And they will say they invented it too 😂 crapple always brings features 3 years later than android, remember the days where you couldn't even change your wallpaper? I think that came with iPhone 6 😂😂😂
This is a failure and paper weight waiting to happen. The device is too redundant to your phones and AI apps you already have on your phone. The screen is way too small and below basic in graphics with a useless touch screen and keyboard. Nobody needs yet another device to carry around and charge that merely duplicates 80% of your cellphone abilities. So glad I canceled my preorder
Both the Rabbit R1 and the Humane AI Pin feel rather slow, at times frustratingly slow. Are the devices underpowered, is the wireless connection too slow, are the company servers too slow, ...? I hope the user experience will get better, but sadly enough electronic devices and online services don't have the tendency to become faster over time. I'll wait for the next generation. The unresponsiveness of the current devices will cause too much frustration.

Not a waste of money. I needed a pocket recorder, plus it will type everything is said near it, will help me write ideas while I'm inspired in the moment and have no time to write my thoughts out of my imagination 🎶
Great video. I think there is a long way to go with these devices but at least it's $200 with no subscription rather than $699 + $25 a month 🤷🏽♂
There is a subscription though because if you want to take it out the house and away from wifi you will need a data plan sim .
You can duplicate you own data service by asking another sim and put it into the r1 @@WigsByNicholas

It's first generation, first version of the software, for $200 I can be patient and see what comes out of it with time.
But, they should have already allowed a one button click to go back to the home screen instead of having to scroll up the settings and then go back.
