One of the things that I enjoy most about Home Free that no one seems to mention, is how clearly they sing the lyrics. While the music is always incredible, being a writer and lover of stories, I am always drawn to the lyrics as well. I've never heard another group where I don't find myself looking up the lyrics afterwards. Thank you for another great reaction!
I was just saying this same thing to my oldest grandson yesterday. He had me listening to some of his music and I had to look up the lyrics later. Great comment.
This is the song that turned me from "these guys are pretty good" to being a Home Fry. It's not just the arrangement, harmonies, etc, but the emotional intelligence they all show in this. It's just fantastic.
Austin is from Georgia, Tim is from Texas and Chance is from Alabama, so they do have southern accents, Rob and Adam Rupp are northerners from Minnesota where the group started, so they don't but Rob can sometimes add a sort of country twang to the vocals in how he says the words if needed and Austin (southern boy) did musical theatre before he joined Home Free and learned to sing without the accent so some songs he has the accent and some songs it is not noticeable, so it's cool that they can vary their vocals depending on the song or song's genre like that.
I adore Home Free. They create the most artistic music. Always heart touching. Their musical intuitions are always spot on. They really know how to "make it work."
I love Home Free's version of this beautiful song. They really brought out the emotion of it. Tim's lead is amazing with his deep bass. Also love Rob & Chance's solos plus the great harmonies. And Adam is tasteful in making the simple sound of pounding his chest & thigh. This song touches me too. I believe we can change our course in life. We don't have to make the same mistakes as our parents. We can choose to rise above it.
This is a cover of John Mayer. No one can do harmonies like Home Free and yes their arrangements (usually by Darren Russ) are absolutely stunning. They have never done a song I didn't like. Also their videos are always so well crafted....just smooth as butter is how I'd describe their sound. Thanks for the reaction sir !
@@JDubReacts yes it is one written by John Mayer, such awesome & deep lyrics...ones that make you think. I appreciate Chance's voice & verse in this even more than Tim...but they're both amazing
Funny I discovered this amazing group thanks to Dimash some time ago. I was not a youtube person until someone showed me SOS. Ever since I follow and learn about many great artists worldwide. I quit watching TV for youtube in the evenings :)that is my relax
This is so beautiful. I hadn’t heard John Mayer’s version until after this but I prefer Home Free’s version. It’s so well done. Great reaction! I would recommend another good song I hadn’t heard before (by Trace Adkins) called I Can’t Outrun You. Chance took on the lead and it’s so haunting. Great video too. Home Free is something. Also they have some songs called Church Sessions where they sing live. They’re amazing.
Home Free just does it right! Their vocals are so crisp, clear, and concise. That helps get the message out in sings like this. Some songs need a little more embellishment like The Sea Shanty Medley or End of the Road, but decorating In The Blood with those traits would detract from the song. A few other strong message songs to check out are Everybody Walkin This Land, People ft Jeffrey East, and One Voice ft Billy Gilman. There are others, but these particular songs show that Home Free isn't afraid to tackle sensitive social issues head on. They are truly an amazing group of men! Thank you for the great reaction!❤
Great reaction, thanks for taking the suggestion. I believe I already mentioned this but their cover of “Helplessly Hoping “ is some more ear candy. MELLOW harmony 🎶🎶💕💕🦋
Loved your reaction!😞 You just explained exactly why they're THE best a cappella group to me! It's not only their amazing talent & beautiful harmonies or even their incredible productions. It's their down to earth, welcoming spirit! There's nobody trying to steal the others' thunder. It's just a warm & fuzzy family between the guys & also their fans! 🤗 NONE of the others have that!🤔
Thanks for this one....what else needs to be said other then just awesome! Austin and Tim released a new "backyard video" yesterday on Austin's channel.....My Maria....they will blow you away once again....its absolutely amazing!
Yes , I like Woman,Amen/Female too and not many react to it. I am amazed at the arrangements Home Free do especially in their mashups as they just sound as though they were meant to be. Fishin in the dark/Boondocks & Sea Shanty Medley are some more awesome mashups & Butts remix is silly but the arrangement & singing are great.
Thanks for the great reaction. Chance has that beautiful baritone that cuts into my soul. (I love them all!) Just mentioning a couple he leads in that are great, Can't Outrun You, he leads a lot on Castle on the Hill, he leads on Yours. But they all have their moments to shine and it's awesome! Enjoy the journey with the guys. Been to six live shows and can't wait for the next one I hope in '22! Take care.
Of course you know there are tons of great music from them to choose from... a a couple of personal highlights are What we ain't got, Dreamer and One Man band. Also Austin Brown and Tim Foust released a version of My Maria that is killer!
If you like Home Free, and I do, take a chance on Cimorelli. They are a group of five (formerly six) sisters that do arrangements that are similar to HF. Like HF, they all have great voices, and they trade off leads, with deep alto and super high soprano. They are a little more "pop" than HF. A good start would be "Mary Did You Know". Lisa Cimorelli sings with Home Free on "Meant To Be". Only dogs can appreciate her upper range.
Have you checked out any of Tim's solo work? He has an amazing solo mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay where he recorded all the tracks himself. It really shows off his range.
Great reaction! Thank you! Love this so much! Very thought provoking and an amazing vocal performance! Love Tim's voice, such range and always crystal clear no matter what part he does! Love Chance in this so much too! Adam Rupp is amazing as usual with the percussions, clean and not intricate but provides an important part of the melody driving that beat! One of my favorites!❤️😃🍑🍟

November is Alzheimers awareness month so could you please react to Glenn Campbell's final recording after being diagnosed with Alzheimers in his early 70s? It is I'm Not Gonna Miss You dedicated to all affected by this horrid disease.

Totally agree. Have actually learned lyrics of songs they've covered!
Oh I've said that on a many songs. I finally hear/understand lyrics clearly on several songs they've covered. They're so good.
This is the song that turned me from "these guys are pretty good" to being a Home Fry. It's not just the arrangement, harmonies, etc, but the emotional intelligence they all show in this. It's just fantastic.
I watched this one and Mayday on the same day. That did it.
homefree is a serious group, they sing what they feel..

Didn't realize John Mayer did this one. Going to have to look at that one. Curious to hear the music behind it. He's a great musician.

Deep song and sung beautifully
I was a fan of theirs from when they were on Sing Off but this song gets my right in the feels.
Great reaction home free never disappoints
Great reaction, thanks for taking the suggestion. I believe I already mentioned this but their cover of “Helplessly Hoping “ is some more ear candy. MELLOW harmony 🎶🎶💕💕🦋
Please react to more Home Free. They have serious as well as funny videos. Thank you to reacting to true talent!
WOW! beautiful song, never heard of it before. It’s very emotional! Great reaction! I love Home Free😊

That's a bit of a throwback song. Haven't heard that in ages.
@@JDubReacts They will make you enjoy all over again!
I'm really hurting right now. This uplifted.
Another smooth cover without a lot of percussion is “Cover Me Up,” with Chance doing the lead. This came out a couple of years ago
And the amazing locations they come up with that fit the songs...
Thank you so much.
🥰🥰 great reaction ❤
Live this one! ❤️ Woman, amen /Female, please!

Just one of their many great ones. They have so many. Great reaction

Try "I Can't Outrun You" for 5 part harmonies and a great video that Adam Chance directed. Also "What We Ain't Got."

My favourite 😍- thank you for reacting to it in a very considered & genuine manner. Glad you enjoyed it!

You might really one their latest releases…”BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD”…. It’s soooooo good 🥰🔥‼️. Quite beautiful 🥰❤️‼️🔥
That's a beautiful original song. Shall have to check this one out to see how they morph it to Home Free's style 😊. It's bound to be great.

I really enjoy your reactions. They're so genuine. Great job.
Great reaction. Love the info you impart. Awesome song. I'm running out of superlatives for this group.
You need to react to Helplessly Hoping
One of my favorite Home Free songs. Tim rarely gets a lead. I love his bass tone.
They have been around for 20 years - different make-up though. Adam Rupp and his brother Chris were founders, Adam Chance and Austin are replacements
