Exactly as a person who has an invisible disability I get this all the time. I say invisible because it's a genetic disorder and I also have seizures and I have hearing problems. People have told me that I'm faking and other things. I just don't understand it's none of your business and some people I know if disabilities have been bitched at till they saw them get their wheelchair out of the car some people.

I became disabled a few years ago. I’m always afraid somebody is confront me when I park in handicapped spaces. I don’t appear handicapped, but it’s very difficult for me to walk. I was diagnosed with stage3 cancer, had multiple surgeries, and was in the hospital for 2 months. I never fully recovered and that’s why my doctor gave me the clearance to get plates for our 2 cars, and the placard to hang from the mirror. When the clerk at DMV pulled the placard to give me, I told her I didn’t think I needed it, but she told me if ever I was traveling in someone else’s car, I’d need it then. Never occurred to me. I was just diagnosed with cancer again. The handicapped space is helpful to me, but not the smirks from others when I park.
My husband who had 3 months to live got disabled parking, and he did not look sick. People would accuse him of not being handicapped. It would make me insane, people were nosey when we had the proper display and ppaperwork! Sorry you have to endure this!!
