    Chris, put on some progressive springs and you’ll feel a world of difference. Stock, that front end is all over the place and hard to control. After installing the new springs it behaves properly and you won’t fall in those kind of situations. Trust me, it’s a cheap way to make your bike awesome. Not only off road but also super awesome on pavement.

      I think I'll look into that actually, it is on my todo list so ill probably get to it eventually. What springs did you put in yours?

    • @FlorinNitulescu_1

      I’ve got the TEC progressive springs for the Street Scrambler, they are specifically made for our bikes. And also got the pre-load adjusters, same brand. It’s a cheap mod, both parts cost me 100€. Now the front is higher by 1cm or so and it stays there, as It doesn’t dive so violently under braking and absorbs bumps more efficiently. Trust me, it’s a whole different bike now.

      @@KrisMOTO23 Maybe a bit late but I have to agree with Florin, I fitted front and rear Tec bike spring kit to my 865 Bonneville and for such a cheap modification made such a difference. Although my bike is not obviously intended as an offroader the change to the bikes handling was immediately noticeable, especially under braking where the standard springs produced a sort of pogoing effect this was almost eliminated with the front spring conversion and the bike absorbed bumps far smoother

    Awesome dude! That exhausts sounds so mean, I love it!!! Looks like you landed in a nice soft patch. I wish I was as lucky on my first off.

      Bike was three weeks old and I started sliding the rear end around off-road like I was Steve McQueen. After an hour or so of it, it got away from me at too fast of a speed. That's where my gas tank dent comes from. Bike was pretty much fine besides that, but I fractured my shoulder and arm... dope!

    What a blast! Does first gear seem a little tall for off road?

    Serious stuff Kris, love it. Hardcore Yorkshire boys. You’ve done a few mods to the bike over winter, where did you get your bar crossbrace?
    Look forward to the next one mate.

    You actually drove it like a proper scrambler, on a country roads or shold I say paths! Nice ride! How do those knobby tires feel like on the road/tarmac? Is there big difference comparing to standards?

    • @KrisMOTO23
      @KrisMOTO23  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I try to, as the name intends and all that. They are actually really good tyres, I cant say their praises highly enough, they handle superbly on the road and in the wet and let you carry on when the road ends. I think they are better than the standard tyres if you want to do the stuff that I do, if your not fussed about better off-road traction then the Metzelers are good enough. also theres slightly more vibration at low speed and some more road noise but that doesn't bother me.

    • @flyingbrick219
      @flyingbrick219 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      KrisMOTO23 It probably only brings to the overall scrambler feeling! :)

    Love the fall man. Worst thing any vlogger can do is be perfect... and also not laugh. Did I spot Fox shocks? Are they a big difference?

    • @KrisMOTO23
      @KrisMOTO23  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha glad you liked it. That's it no one is why pretend to be plus falling off is funny :D nah they are the TECbikeparts gas shocks, similar to the fox ones just a quarter of the price, they aren't bad a lot more adjustment than the standard shocks.

      I've been watching your channel since you got the Scrambler. Getting close to buying one. Have ridden a demo. Sweet. But no, honesty is cool in a vid - check out GoldGuy. Kid's always dropping his builds off benches, snapping gear off. Keeps it in his vids. Like that a lot. Cheers

    • @KrisMOTO23
      @KrisMOTO23  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ah cheers dude. Ha go for it mate they soo much fun! I'm actually subscribed to Goldguy, super talented lad really knows his stuff too. Wish I knew half the stuff he knows about building bikes..

    ¿Why change the original tyres? It's a heavy motorbike with low gravity center; you lose grip and brake power, evidently.

      Thing is you can see it’s a new bike and when you’ve just formed our 7k and it’s all shiny. Last thing u want to so is drop it. Hence why u end up chickening out.
