The reason the dragon teeth in the Siegfried line was effective is because they were not surface obstacles. They were connected below the ground. They also were not the same height. They were designed to allow a tank or other vehicle to start to roll over it and then get stuck. So just placing concrete triangles on the ground is useless. At the least, these need to have a long piece of rebar (like six feet and an inch in diameter) below them to make it harder to dislodge. Ukraine should learn from the Russian mistake here. Frankly, in some ways, I think the stuff they use for break waters might actually be more effective.

As an American, I'd just say what I continue to say to my own government, give Ukraine ALL of the ATACMS we have left and tell them to use them in the most interesting manner they can think of.
In that case nothing will happen and Ukraine can use those missiles as scrap metal. The Uki's have no access to NATO satellites and are not capable nor authorised to enter target data into the missile guidance system. But hey, don;t mind me, cowboy, go ahead and have a field day.
Long-range missiles need US/NATO satellite targeting which can only be done by US/NATO personnel. That's why doing so would trigger a war between Russia and NATO/US. In any event there are very few ATACMs left and production is very low. Similarly, Scalp and Storm Shadow are in extremely short supply and are no longer being manufactured. Authorising the use of these weapons will therefore achieve nothing other than making Ukraine's ultimate situation even worse.

The storm shadow missile uses a chip for the American geolocation algorithm, hence the American veto. The Scalp is completely autonomous and uses the French geolocation system. So you will tell me: So all France needs to do is authorize and no problem! 1) The problem is in the Ukrainian planes, in their adaptation to the standards for the use of Western weapons, the USA participated with their help, so they have a right of inspection. If Ukraine already had the Mirages 2000, the USA could not have done anything to block Ukraine (no veto possible against French weapons). But even in this situation, it is preferable for the USA to give Total authorization, because in the stocks, the number of Storm shadow missiles is greater than that of the SCALP. In addition, British orders for the next few years are 50% higher and also a priority, given that the British order came before the French order (and as both missiles are manufactured in the same factory in France, it won't be easy to do otherwise)....

Friendly tip to improve your English. I see non-native English speakers use "of the" in places where a native speaker would not. Usually when talking about numbers of things. For example: I would never say "The Russians have two of the defense lines" I would just say "The Russians have two defense lines." Some other examples would be "There are three o̶f̶ t̶h̶e̶ planes on the airfield" and "Russians have sent many o̶f̶ t̶h̶e̶ tanks to the front lines" These are not *incorrect*, but they sound odd. There are times when "of the" is appropriate. Usually when referring to parts of a whole/group or talking about something . For example: "Two of the Russian defense lines have been attacked" Here I am talking specifically about the defense lines. The number of defense lines is not the main subject of the sentence. Other examples would be: "The Ukrainian's destroyed three of the airplanes on the airfield." or "Many of the tanks Russia has sent to the front lines have been destroyed." Someone with a degree in English could explain this better, and God knows that there are always exceptions in the English language rules, but this is a good general rule. Hope this helps.

Friendly tip to improve your English. I see non-native English speakers use "of the" in places where a native speaker would not. Usually when talking about numbers of things. For example: I would never say "The Russians have two of the defense lines" I would just say "The Russians have two defense lines." Some other examples would be "There are three o̶f̶ t̶h̶e̶ planes on the airfield" and "Russians have sent many o̶f̶ t̶h̶e̶ tanks to the front lines" These are not *incorrect*, but they sound odd.
There are times when "of the" is appropriate. Usually when referring to parts of a whole/group or talking about something . For example: "Two of the Russian defense lines have been attacked" Here I am talking specifically about the defense lines. The number of defense lines is not the main subject of the sentence. Other examples would be: "The Ukrainian's destroyed three of the airplanes on the airfield." or "Many of the tanks Russia has sent to the front lines have been destroyed."
Someone with a degree in English could explain this better, and God knows that there are always exceptions in the English language rules, but this is a good general rule. Hope this helps.
