I love your interpretation and think it makes perfect sense. But my absolute favorite interpretation is a little darker, with the idea of making the audience not quite sure if she really means what she is singing or not. Not a perfect example (to say the least), but maybe it should be sung with a little more pathos, like Turandot's "Figlio del cielo..." (obviously without the big "Mi vuoi nelle tue baccia a forza" climax). Turandot is in a similar pleading-with-her-dad situation even though she doesn't get the same result. But regardless I just think when everything in a comedy is comedic, it becomes less interesting and a little cartoonish. But blending some dramatic elements with the comedic ones can make the overall performance more memorable. To me, O Mio Babbino Caro is a great opportunity to give the story and the Lauretta character a little more dramatic depth. I may be alone with this opinion, so I offer it just as food for thought.

Lovely tone and control, a solid interpretation. I noticed your tongue retracts systematically on i, eh, aye vowel sounds which pulls them out of line from your other vowels. Strive to anchor more, especially on the high notes, as it will give you even more control. As an audience, we feel what you feel, try not to over interpret every moment. Arias are a moment suspended in time, not a roller coaster ride of a dozen emotions. It detracts from the beauty of the piece.

You have a flawless voice, but I like a slower take on the song. Take a look at how Montserrat caballe sings it .
Now go and listen to renee flemming singing this exact song.
This doesnt even begin to touch on renee's version. And u had the audacity to say hers was "school."
I apologize for the criticism, but you do not sing the aria in one position, jumps are heard, and also during the singing the lower jaw is used too much, it eats up the color of the voice.
