The Times Square screen images of him were a gift from his fans, on May 24th this year, and ON May 24th Dimash decided, and managed, to cram a snapshot of that into his video, hours before releasing it, the same day :) His presence on the Times Square screen wasn`t a mark of him being known, it was a gift to him from his fans outside of US, primarily/exclusively from China. It`s the second time they make this gift for him, paying for an ad on that screen. It`s not USA`s recognition of his value and size as an artist. It was actually one of the many efforts of his fans from outside of US to inform the US about his existence on planet Earth. On Ig, announcing the release of "Omir", he wrote : "Every year you make the coolest gifts for my day birth and in turn accept this musical gift as a token of my gratitude to you for your love."

I think why Dimash feels the way he feels about his audience or his fans is because I realize that his fans helped a lot to make things easier and possible for him today. If you know the amount of free labour his fans does for his growing career and fame, you'll know what I mean. I think, his father or mother mentioned this in an interview. Dimash is not mainstream artist and some of his songs (although not many) played in radios or he appeared on billboards in other countries were all the result of his relentless fans. They try so hard to advertise him and it's not like they were paid for their efforts and time. If you follow Dimash and the fan bases around the world, Dimash never seem to have any company that represents him with promoting his music, advertising his concert tickets or shows. Those were all done by his fans online and offline. Anything they can get their hands on to put Dimash's name on it so they can spread about him. I'm not saying he should or he shouldn't feel so much thankfulness towards his audience/fans/supporters. I'm just saying, this is probably why he and his family feels the way they feel. His talent, his music, his work ethics, his dedication, that's all him. I'm talking about his growing fame and fan base despite his music being the least favourite among the mass.

👉 Dimash said: “Omir (Life) - It is a work whose melody and lyrics first emerged from my inner world. A piece of music on the occasion of my birthday. I dedicate it to all my listeners who encouraged me to stand against both the fierce waves on the water surface and the raging storm. This work is about my life.”
What a wonderful gift and thank you from Dimash to us dears on his birthday. The wonderful, gentle melody and also the profound words are his own… and of course his deep touching voice.
This young man is not only a great artist, a megastar, he is also a very self-reflective person, an absolute philanthropist. Dimash makes everyone, young and old, think about themselves with his music, his deeds for the people and his humble manner. His singing heals souls and makes listeners wish to be a better person. It's unique... and that's why we love Dimash.
    Must to watch:

Dimash plays chess, usually with his grandfather, and recently he even made the first move in game 12 at the FIDE World Chess Championship 2023. This is very personal song, as it is his words. The first lyrical song he wrote, as a present to his Dears on his birthday. So feeling like we strolled through his childhood/life is probably intentional. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this reaction/analysis.

Everything we experience, is first interpreted for meaning in our own minds. This means that all we ever experience, is how our own mind interprets the world based upon our individual level of Conscious Awareness, our wholly unique past, and the nature of our individuality in this lifetime. So every single person who experiences Dimash interprets him in their own way., through the lens of their own "beingness" in the world. There is a saying that goes, "We see the world not as IT is but as WE are".
It is not the artist that belongs to them. It is what of Dimash, they have made their own via how the mind creates perceptual reality that belongs to them.
So I really get what you are saying about all of that.
I Love your channel and your work! You have sunshine in your Soul. Thank you for continuing on with your channel despite the rushing stream of projects dancing over your feet! I appreciate your comments about people thinking "they own the artist" or part of the artist, that they have some kind of "rights" to the artist. In Dimash's recent concerts, while he is literally on stage holding the mic singing, some people have the nerve and the self centered audacity to go to the edge of the stage waving pen and paper at him for an autograph WHILE HE IS SINGING!!!!.....and I think......Wow, no respect for him or for the other 10s of thousands of people respectfully listening to his singing, they only think ABOUT THEMSELVES AND WHAT THE WANT FROM HIM. A while back he was posing for pictures for a lot of people; the people would come up, barely look at him or not look at him AT ALL!!!, snap their picture and not even look at him or say thank you.....after not even saying "hello" and just walk away....and as he was going thru this over and over and over, while I know he is so appreciative of his dears!!!, there was a look of some kind of sadness in his EYES....almost a kind of deadness in the eyes.....like he was just an animal in a cage or an object, not a human to be acknowledged, not a human to look into his eyes and say "hello Dimash MAY I HAVE A PICTURE WITH YOU?" and "thank you Dimash".....I am just aghast at how inhuman people treat him, and yet he is so kind to oblige them. Streisand once spoke to the criticism that she was too open in her political views, and she said "When does the artist stop being a citizen", as if she is no longer human and has somehow given up her citizenship her humanness to be a "star". Someone else sort of criticized Dimash for his unwillingness to talk about dating, and girlfriends.....and I thought why do people think that he owes them his private life? He has given so much to the world, and then people have the gall to insist that he talk about his private life EVEN AFTER he clearly stated in one interview "I don't want to talk about my private life" and then the interviewer pushed him "why not" to which DQ replied "Because it's my life and it's no one's business" ......CAN DIMASH BE ANY MORE CLEAR THAN THAT? HE DOESN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT HIS PRIVATE LIFE "IT'S NO ONE'S BUSINESS".....and some commenter on that video really went after me because I defended him in my comments for not wanting to talk about dating and girls...... and she insisted that he should be open about it....GEEEZZZZUS....even after he says "I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT".....which I believe means I DON"T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT.... people think they own him and that he OWES them more than his art.....pitiful!!!

Very well said on all fronts. Dimash owes us nothing of his personal life, and he deserves respect. People blur the lines in parasocial relationships and that’s difficult for artists to navigate. And yes, you touched on the loneliness - probably emboldened by folks acting like that. Very, very well said.

Du hast so recht.

You speak from my heart. I've observed these things as well and felt very sorry for Dimash. I also find some people's behavior inappropriate and sometimes quite selfish... e.g. excessively asking for autographs (a few are acceptable).... Mostly, when he arrives at the airports and many people are waiting for him, some people even have lots of photos for him to sign, not just 2 or 3…… While he's doing this, he can't get in touch with anyone else... too bad for many other fans who are also waiting for him... his gaze is always down to the autographs.
And at the last concerts it was quite annoying for me to see how little consideration some people showed to Dimash when asking for autographs while he was singing
and also to all the other people in the audience who had to wait while he signed his name…. He sang further, but not with the same amount feeling or concentration like before and after… That’s the effect of multitasking 😝😒
I don't know how Dimash feels about that himself, because he agreed in that situation (just being polite or was it ok for him? who knows?) and he even gave someone the "assignment" (don't know the most appropriate vocabulary ) to hold his mic while signing so he could keep singing....???
And then I noticed that one or the other Dear dared to gave him a surprising kiss on the cheek while he was walking through the audience... he laughed about it, but I don't know if it was really okay for him???
I'm a little concerned that it can also be seen as some kind of encouragement for some other fans who might do the same in the future... and that it could probably become more and more intrusive or encroaching. I hope I am wrong, because I appreciate very much, that Dimash likes to be close to us Dears and jumps off the stage to the audience.
With that said…. I wish everyone a nice weekend. 🙋🏻‍♀💞✌😘

thank you cedric , you are right it is like walking through dimash's house and yes inspiring wise soul with an extraordinarily creative mind .
how of the old cackled images of his young beautiful brown-eyed boy, talented person conquered by sacrifice and hard work, sometimes with real suffering, he created the most beautiful music on a level that no other great artist I know can match. The words projected on his face are Omir Konil Sagan life Mood mirage .. It's beautiful how you emphasize the light cedric the white sphere that moves swiftly behind dimash as the sun rises and the sun sets and sometimes it seems that dimash itself emits light
My hope is that more people will open their hearts to appreciate Dimash.
Jacky Chan ,Pharrell Williams, David Foster, Andrea Boccelli Nicole Kidman Pope Francis in Astana where Dimash received his commemorative medal all this and still Dimash is singing about his life barefoot symbolically grounding yourself and staying with both feet on the ground and not getting his head in the clouds or losing his roots he is such an beautiful human, thanks again Cedric

I especially appreciated your recognition that this isn't just about thanks to his fans----it's about his feeling of vulnerability as he moves on to bigger (and possibly even greater) things. It's one thing to "conquer" many of the countries in one's own part of the world, but something else altogether to face doing it in the other part---especially in the West. It has to be scary, especially given Dimash's humility, his love of family, and his reluctance to forsake his creativity in order to fit into the scene in the western world. That being said, Dimash has always said he dreams of winning a Grammy. In order to do that, he will need to fight through those concerns and forge forward. As he says in his great song, "Olimpico,": "You are stronger than your troubles." I am confident that Dimash is as strong as he will need to be as he embarks on this new stage of his life and career.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Another wonderful and insightful reaction Cedric - your professional knowledge and your passion for film, music and art add so much. This is a beautiful song and video from Dimash - it feels very personal - his birthday gift to his Dears, a glimpse of his true private self.
He’s accomplished a lot to be proud in his short career - did you notice the cavalcade of stars and celebs in the last half of the video? The first big star he met was Jackie Chan on The Singer in 2017, a long time family idol. Other celebrities I recognised - Lang Lang, Nicole Kidman, Lara Fabian, Igor Krutoy, Jack Ma (Alibaba CEO), Andrea Bocelli, Drew Barrymore, James Corbin, The Pope, Gennady Golivkin (Kazakh Boxer), David Foster (Canadian music legend) and Walter Assieniff (American music legend). Impressive.
Best of luck with the move, your new ventures and career 🙏🏻🇦🇺

I totally agree with what you say about art. I don t think that art belongs only to its creator after it found an audience but the creation of art should not be motivated by the wish if the creator to find an audience. It should have its own reason of existence.
I also love that you spoke about the duality in this song. It helps me to understand it better.

In addition to the song being a gift to his fans, as he stated on his Ig, the melancholy, the pleading, the searching, and the wonder that he put into the song through the minor chords of the composition, to me, represent the deeper message of this song. And so does the gentle, then quite intense plea towards Life that he doesn`t commit errors in a life charged, in his perception, with responsibility, looking at the mass of people he has gathered around supporting him, and the places he has access to now. The prayer dimension of the piece is quite clearly underlined by the shot towards the end, where he holds his hands in muslim prayer pose. We have seen him before irl praying before performances, holding his hands just like that. He composed the music and (for the first time) wrote the lyrics - "It is a work whose melody and lyrics emerged from my inner world." A small detail about his appearance in this video, that might get overlooked unless you know him quite well as an artist : his hairstyle in this video, when he sings in the dark "watching" the film of his life, is a more off-stage hairstyle that he uses, when he travels, or the day after a concert when he`s tired, or when he met Pope Francis, exposed forehead, cerebral, in other words, when he is himself, and not the stage persona. This is the first music video where he uses this more private, himself image. An understated but quite powerful detail.
This more 'himself' look appearing in an MV, supports the message of a "glimpse" into his inner, private world, and puts the mark of "I really mean this", "you are actually invited into my authentic inner world".
***** In my opinion - to hopefully avoid ending up in Dears prison. 😆

Some good info there, but that hair style thing is not just a reach but not true.... there is absolutely nothing private about that hair style... He has used it in performances (Fly Away New Wave, Samaltau Silk road film festival, Jackie Chan's concert, come to mind first....), and when we have seen him traveling or doing stuff with his family, his hair is actually down, i can not remember one example when it would have been combed up like this outside of some kind of an event. I think it was chosen here simply to make the image cleaner, hair hanginn on his face woudl have mad eit visually more messy.Perhaps some symbolism of not covering his face, yes, but let's not read too much into it.
Also he has not opened up about the meaning of the chords, etc, of the song, on IG, you just made that up. Let's keep factual.

    • @lovesyoutube8591
      @lovesyoutube8591 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@miiachild2885 I thought it was pretty obvious that "as he stated on his Ig" was referring to the song "being a gift to his fans" - "Every year you make the coolest gifts for my day birth and in turn accept this musical gift as a token of my gratitude to you for your love."
That hairstyle and that style of robe/coat, he wore in the Almaty fan meeting, in his home country, when he looked tired after the Almaty concert, and came surrounded by family, and acted in an informal, 'at home' way, less 'Dimash the singer' way. Prayed alongside his grandfather, etc, a meeting slightly different from others, for example the Armenia and Antalya ones, where he was dressed up in designer clothes and wearing the hairstyle he uses in concerts, and in music videos for the past 2 years. (Yes, except China 2 song performance 3 weeks ago).
He was also wearing the hairstyle used in this video when he met the child Gabriel in the airport, when he had much less people travelling with him then other times. He was also wearing it when he met Pope Francis.
It`s one of his more understated hairstyles.
And to me, choosing it for a music video, felt significant. Together with bare feet and that long coat like the one he wore in Almaty, where some of his family told stories about his childhood or from the behind the scenes of their life.
You`re not obligated to agree with my perception.
I suppose I have to add "in my opinion" before and after every phrase to keep everybody happy. I thought that that goes without saying when it comes to online comments.
And no, I don`t make IG stuff up. You just have to follow a long phrase from beginning to end for the grammar of it (subject, predicate) to become evident.
I didn`t need to pretend I`m quoting a Dimash IG post. The meaning/effect of minor chords used in music writing is a musical language perceivable by the human ear in general. The main effect/meaning is "melancholy", and also "darkness", or "as if there is something wrong in the balance of nature", which I chose to express with words in the ballpark of "serious" - a wonder/pondering, a search, a pleading.
The effect of minor chords is taught in music school. For those who didn`t attend music school, the information is available through google, wikipedia. But the effect is perceivable by the human ear regardless of musical education. Hence the "universal language" characteristic of music.

Hi Cedric, and thank you for a wonderful analysis! Always a pleasure to watch with you and learn your take on the songs and videos. I actually had to pause in the middle and go make myself a cup of tea because it was getting so enjoyable that i wanted to further enhance the experience, lol!
As many people would have already pointed out, this was the first time that Dimash wrote both the music and the lyrics. He's had lyrics commissioned to his own specification many times before, but this is his own poetry which makes it even more special. I wish i could understand Kazakh, because i know it's a very complex, rich and expressive language full of symbolism and metaphors, i bet we are still missing a lot in translation. But i noticed the same thing as you did, how well the text flows, the choice of words with the matching vowels, the rhyming; even without understanding the meaning of the words, to me those are well written lyrics! To my knowledge Dimash has never expressed that he aspires to write lyrics, as a matter of fact i remember (although not verbatim) him once mentioning it's not something he feels is his skill and that he rather leaves that to others. So, well done him.
And yes, he did release this on his own birthday as a gift to Dears.
By the way, that chess set is a Harry Potter collection item 😁 He recently said he loves Harry Potter :D
Thanks Cedric and see you soon(er or later), very happy for the turns your career is taking and always delighted to see you post when you are able to😊 Have a great day

Released on his Birthday as a gift for us Dears, song and lyrics by Dimash himself , we were given an intimate look into his life and even, I think, his soul. No matter who you are, life has it's good and bad, ups and downs. I have Dimash in my prayers daily.
And best of everything to you in the future. May all your dreams come true because it couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Today I feel grateful to life for discovering him, and I know that he is doing a lot for this world and for people. hi Cedric, great to see your reaction and insights into this most personal video from Dimash. You always bring something new, I missed the chess set until you pointed it out. Indeed he is a very wise man. aT the very end, he repeated “beg for forgiveness” line, which did not have matching subtitle, but I think that repeat is very meaningful. You did not mention the growl change in his voice, I think it was very close to when the video showed “the world’s best” appearance, which to me is also hinting at something.❤❤

Bonjour Cédric ! As tu remarqué que tout au long de sa chanson, il est vêtu de façon très simple, et qu'il chante pieds nus? encore un signe de dépouillement physique et mental transmis dans cette scène de vie qui le décrit si bien. . ... Amicalement de France
