Hey Doug, that one pumpkin is awesome with all the glitter in it, wow what a great idea and I love that ribbon skull especially the green! Thanks for showing us how easy it is to use Let's Resin products!
They turned out great looking, even the "foggy" skull 👍👍👍 Everything starts getting ready for Christmas right around Halloween anymore so it's perfect. Thanks for the time and the video.
Of course I like the video Doug, although it's something different than woodturning. And to be honest I think the foggy scull is amazing. Thank you for sharing my friend. 👍👍👍
One of the ladies I watch (Pouring Your Heart Out) sprays 100 % rubbing alcohol down in the molds (after it's set), massages it around a little and the resin piece comes out much easier. The ribbon skull looks really cool.
Love the ribbon skull ❤ Someone else I watch sprays isopropyl alcohol around the inside of the skull mould when it is cured to help release the little sucker 😊
Very cool, Doug. Great shine on them. I've had molds lose their smoothness after a few uses. But, seeing these convinced me to order extra resin in the new year. I have four planned projects but the extra was going to go to these types of fun things. I might order a bigger size so I have enough to play with. One of them uses some iridescent products. So many of those shimmering things are films and vinyls, so not ideal for wood. But cast them in a mold? Sure. So thank you for the idea with that Christmas skull. :)
The ribbon one is really cool looking, and the pumpkin is nice, too. How about a beach skull, and one with ball bearings and the glitter resin? All that bright silver… just a couple of thoughts…
I love the bows in the skull, it turned out great! So did your pumpkins. For Halloween I made glow in the dark skulls and pumpkins for our kids and grandkids. I added a little neon yellow mica, unfortunately some of the mica settled on the bottom/top of the skull, next time I’ll use pigment paste. They still look pretty great tho, our kids left them out in the sun all day and they were still glowing the next morning! I discovered an easier way to de-molded them.. if you put it resin side down on a silicone oven pad, ya know the kind with a waffle texture? The piece won’t slip and you can just peel it off. I was de-molding in my kitchen😆 That was a fun video. Merry Christmas to you and yours Doug.🎄
You should use that resin for the dice molds I sent you couple years ago and the coaster molds as well . I like the clear with ribbons . Sorry alcohol inside help release the resin out of the mold . Take care Doug .
Doug going to try that, ia a lady in fb that she sprayed the molds of the skulls and the boxes with alcohol to make easier to pull after the resin cures.
Long time watcher, 1st time commenter, I just noticed the bottle of the resin said 1:1 by volume, not weight. I've seen you've had the occasional problem with your otherwise awesome work with it curing or chipping out, wondering if that could be why, one might weigh slightly different to the other? Could be worth a check on that :)
If I had those supplies I’d be be making skulls day n night! I LOVE the Christmas bows!! PS new subscriber here…. I believe they use corn starch to keep the gummy bears from sticking to each other and that may be the cloudiness you see
LOL yes I made the gummies out of resin long ago, sorry I just pour the extra into the candy molds and collect them over time, Thank you for subscribing and watching my video, I hope I can keep you entertained
use rubbing alcohol to help demold. just drip some between the resin and mold and rub the mold a little to move the alcohol around a bit then it should come out much easier
Way too early for me to be watching your video. 1:07 I'm reading what's on the box and I see "Mold friendly" and I'm thinking why would anyone want resin to be mold, as in fungus friendly.... Would love to be able to go back to bed but I got to go to work...
all of them turned out really nice. for me, tho, the gummy bear one would have been even cooler if you had used gummy worms instead, because... ...the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out, the worms play pinochle on your snout 🪱💀🪱

Thank You Skip, yeah I was struggling with that demolding process

The ribbon one is really cool looking, and the pumpkin is nice, too. How about a beach skull, and one with ball bearings and the glitter resin? All that bright silver… just a couple of thoughts…
Thank You Linda, I can do the beach and the glitter.
Maybe try demolding under the sink? Might help. Or mold release

@@PohlBarnProductions you’re welcome Doug. I thought you might’ve lol. I think they were coaster molds too.
Doug going to try that, ia a lady in fb that she sprayed the molds of the skulls and the boxes with alcohol to make easier to pull after the resin cures.
Thank you, seems everyone know this but me
Those look awesome

@@elizabetstremel9836 yes I’m aware of that… did I miss something?
@@ReginaK2 I'm talking about the gummy bears. He made them with resin
@@elizabetstremel9836 oh ok 👍🏼 I totally misunderstood that!🤣

HELLO!!!!!!!!!
Hey Robin!!!!!!!!!
I would love to see their reaction if you wrote a review saying the resin turned cloudy when adding gummy bears.
LOL well I am sure it turned cloudy because of the color I used, the ribbons turned out perfect.
Those look pretty cool. How heavy is the skull? It looks like it would make a good paper weight.
Thank You Ron
😘😘💋💋
Awww Thank you Ellen
Maybe use a shoe horn next time to remove mold
Thank You, I just had to figure out the secret starting point, I've gotten it figured out now
Way too early for me to be watching your video. 1:07 I'm reading what's on the box and I see "Mold friendly" and I'm thinking why would anyone want resin to be mold, as in fungus friendly.... Would love to be able to go back to bed but I got to go to work...
LOL moldy silicone is friendly to the resin or something, lol thanks again for watching

I suppose I could of use real gummies in the molds, real ones don't turn very well so I made resin bears, worms might look good too.
Im digging the bow skull
Thank You Thank You Jen, Miss ya
