      Wow, it is great to meet you. You must hear this all the time, but I am a big fan of your Fathers. In my opinion, he and Kirk are the only captains worthy of the bridge of the Enterprise! I am so glad you enjoyed my video. I have so many projects going on right now, I don't know when I will get to this project, but I will eventually. Best of luck with your build my friend!

    I called Round 2 and asked if it was possible to purchase the neck part for the pilot editon seperatly instead of buying the whole kit and unfortunatly, they are only offering it in the kit iself. It's a bummer since now I had to modify the current neck piece I had with filling and drilling out windows.
    For the base coat of the Enterprise(at least the production version), I found that they originally used a house paint on the 11 foot model called Heather Gray. Since Round 2 said the molded color is what they feel is the correct original color, I took the saucer into a Sherwin Williams paint store and had them make up a paint to match the molded color. The paint I got is Benjamin Moore's Heather Gray. I had them make it slightly less green and more grey. It is slightly darker than the molded color, but it's pretty darn close and am happy with it.
    I already have the base coat applied to the parts for the two versions I'm doing(Production and ISS).
    Hopefully that helps with how you want to mix your colors.

      Thank you for all the info! Benjamin Moore Heather Gray. That is good to know! =-)
      You may want to purchase the Supplemental Parts Pack for the Saucer Pylon or neck. Would that piece help?

      @@TrekFanNCC-1701 I acrually have the pilots part pack(50th anniversary edition) and sadly the neck part has the same window configuration as the production version. The window inserts are for the pilot versions so if you want to use those you have to fill in and drill out windows to get em to fit. The only difference for the neck part is that it's molded in blue.

    The tri angls are planet fall landing strut doors when the saucer section could separate from the star drive section in case of an emergency situation and the landing gear would extend outward and lock into position for a landing

    I am totally new here. Getting back into modeling after a long hiatus. I have built several Enterprise models over the years. My question is, "Is there a light kit that can be used on this model? Other videos say that the light kit for the other 1:350 Enterprise kit CANNOT be used. Any help would be appreciated.

    • @TrekFanNCC-1701
      @TrekFanNCC-1701  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice! I have recently gotten back into modeling myself a few years ago. When it comes to the 1:350 Polar Lights U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, there have been lighting kits issued specifically for that model kit. As far as I know, the mold for the Enterprise model kit for that scale was changed only when it comes to the grid lines on the primary hull. I do believe that you can use the 1:350 lighting kit as well as the parts pack with any 1:350 model kit issued. Keep in mind, this is for the NCC-1701. The U.S.S. Enterprise Refit or the NCC-1701-A cannot be used with the lighting kits. There are three issues of the lighting kits for the Enterprise NCC-1701. The Deluxe edition with the weathering decals, the standard version without the decals as well as a recent issue. You will be able to use these lighting kits on any 1:350 Enterprise model kit as she is seen in Star Trek The Original Series. These lighting kits can be expensive. I hope that helps my friend. Best of luck with your modeling!

    its too bad that it doesn't bring the black and white tree which came in the other kit. there was a choice to put the white windows instead of the clear and the black if you didn't want to light some areas.
