Ollie is new to RC helicopters and tries out the version 2 of the RC Era C129. This is a light weight micro heli that is best used in very light or zero wind conditions or indoors. It wasn't apparent to me at the start but it is a collective pitch helicopter but suited to beginners because it does not allow roll or pitch to inverted. This can only be achieved by using the trick button which when used will expect a right stick input to indicate the direction of roll. Note that it does lose about a metre in altitude when it performs the trick flip so make sure you are high enough ! When hands off the sticks this heli does maintain altitude fairly accurately. Drift can be corrected using the trim switches.
Ollie did crash this heli to show it's durability. He even crashed the radio ! No damage to either fortunately. We do this so you don't have to. As said before, this is a small heli and is affected by wind as we show in the video.

I love my little echine E129 I can just go in garden and get my fix if I can’t get out with my planes lol it doesn’t do the tricks but it’s great to fly and pretty nippy but I did like the trick thing on this heli dom looks great fun Dom

@@EssentialRC I did fly a c189 md500 but I unfortunately had a bad crash and the cost of repairs just can't be justified when I can simply get one of these instead and it will be brand new hence I ordered one.
Nice that they now make it available with a Tx with better gimbals. That will mate to all the other C129 protocol toy helis for the kids who don't need the initial expense of a Zorro etc.
I have replaced the rotor blades with ones from C186 BO-105 helicopters, which has straight blades rather than tapered ones.
it fly well with that blades too. and do 3D flips no problem.

Where do you get those bodies from EQ?
There static models. 1/32 or 1/48. But this one has to have a small type helicopter body. 1/32 OH-6 and a 1/48 AirWolf fits great. But a Cobra 1/32 is too heavy, need a 160 or 180 size helicopter. It’s not too much work to do. But one thing I need you to check on your helicopter. The screw was left out of battery mount that holds it on. Right in center of landing gear on bottom. I’ve not done the tricks yet with body on , don’t know what might happen. Good luck 👍🏻✌🏻✌🏻
