Sorry but with the price of the standard batts soooo low, whats the point using what you have laying around,it only degrades them for the intended model. Also the longer flight times will get the brushed motors hotter and thus wear out sooner.
Those 2 minutes times the # of flights...they are worth it. The only thing is you have to remove the canopy every time. I like the original design easy to install and remove the batt.
Hey man, question. I'm looking to buy I similar heli for dicking around the house after work, terrorizing the house pets and such. I noticed that the product description on many of these helicopters say that they come installed with brush motors. Have you considered trying to install brushless? I would think it possible but I'm not sure. Looks like you can buy a new receiver/flight control board and it looks like not much is soldered on, just the antenna. I too would like a little rc heli that has about 15+ minutes of flight time on one charge, but I'm interested in doing so by going about it with more efficient motors. Thoughts??
Hi mate. 100% doable , I did think of doin this but I had to many other projects on the go at the time. Not sure on the parts list. It wouldn’t take much at all to make it happen. You would have to get the weight correct to power to achieve a 15 min flight. If you done so research on similar size helis on spec motors and esc’s it might help on getting the right setup for you. Saves time and money. Hope this helps you bud. 👍🏼😉
Hey, actually that does help a bit! The research I've done over the past few days say that I should actually use a coreless motor because it behaves just like a brush but offers much of the same performance benefits of the brushless motor (atleast 5% efficiency increase), so because it will behave like a brush on the inside because it does indeed still have brushes no thought has to go into how the chip will like it. It will take a coreless the same as a brush. Also, with a 3D printer handy, I may be able to get a 400mAh battery installed in a modular fashion with a support/protection cage that weighs atleast but likely less then the stock 300 mAh battery if I get fancy with some infill, breathing hole size and spacing that is. By trying to maintain weight by replacing the solid plastic injected battery cage with a mostly hollow 3D printed cage and spending that weight difference on a bigger battery, I can get a better C value on the system which will really help flight time. Also, if I REALLY wanted to get crazy, it might be a possibility to find servos with lower hold voltage for a about $10 a piece. I'm not sure about that though because I haven't gotten that far in my reading. The C129 is meant to be a toy that can be the bottom rung on the learning ladder to bigger and more complicated things, but I'm totally down with making this toy something even a vet 3D flyer can appreciate.
Hi mate sorry for late reply I’ve been moving house. Are the battery’s fully charged your using.? Should last a lot longer that 1min. Off the top of my head can’t remember the stock mah.

Nice mod, but I'm just going to add a losi connector, and be able to fly stock or about a million cheap drone batteries in the 300 - 450 range.
Cheers dude. Yeah cool. Your motor might get quite hot. But it’s worth a try tho. 👍🏼😁

Yeah possibly. Motor can be replaced though. It’s not caused any issues.
That's a lot of work....to gain an extra 2 minutes of flight time 🤔
It’s well worth it. It didn’t take that long really. It took more time makin the video lol.

Ingenious but wouldn't it be easier to buy 2 batteries and swap them?
You could do but I have loads of them battery’s for my drones so I spent makes sense buying anymore if you know what I mean 👍🏽😉
Fair enough!
Awesome mod. 👍🙏👍🙏
Cheers bro 👍🏽😁🍻
Cool mod ! ,,,,, lol,, it should be fine,,,, time will tell haha
Hahaha yeah it will either catch a light🔥 or I will stack it 😂 hahaha cheers bro 👍🏽😉
I have tested with 380 mh and 400mh not work more 1 minute after the helicopter is unstable.... what is the mh of the stock one? thanks
Hi mate sorry for late reply I’ve been moving house. Are the battery’s fully charged your using.? Should last a lot longer that 1min. Off the top of my head can’t remember the stock mah.
The small generic type batteries will degrade with age. Also the C rating on the ones you are trying might be lower.
Where can i buy the same batteries?
Ps sorry I gave you the wrong link.

It’s a lot more stable with a larger battery .👌🏼
@@Fpvfreaky I have tested but fly only 1minute with 350mha ?? I dont know how many C is my battery
1st! 👍 Must stop watching videos about helicopters.........😫
