    The best part about this video is that you look so excited to teach, which makes me excited to learn. My main goal when I get to my Spanish class is to get out. I can't tell you enough how much I wish teachers would be this happy about teaching.

    I think you are one of the best teachers of Spanish on TH-cam. I have listened to a lot of them, and you definitely are the easiest to learn from because you explain things in such a way that I can understand it completely. Thank you!

    hi Ana. I translated both the explanation and subtitle to Turkish for this video. I hope it will be available in a couple days. And I hope it will help Spanish learners (like me) from Turkey to learn more from your videos. thanks for these beautiful videos. When I have time, I will try to add Turkish subtitle to your videos. but it took like 2 days to add it.

  • @TheZzzleep...

    Very helpful. Gracias. You are also pointing out a misuse of English. If the party is already underway and I am at the party I should ask, Are you coming to the party? If it is a future party, then I should ask, Are you going to the party? However, that is not how English is currently being used. It's like, they get what I mean and so all is understood.

    • @shycat5905
      @shycat5905 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      zenistic you are right. In English it not correct to ask someone Are they coming to a party that's elsewhere.

    • @thommartin4047
      @thommartin4047 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is correct in English to ask if someone is coming to a party if it is your party or you are hosting said party. If the party is someone elses and you arent hosting it then yes it should be "going". i.e. "Are coming to my/my sons birthday party?" The other way of saying it that involves going is "Are you going to come to my party?" An example of using going would ve "Are you going to the company Christmas party?"

      balisong46 yes, it’s the same way in English; however, we’ve mixed up the meanings due to slang.
      “Sam are you coming to my house on Friday?”
      “Sure, I’ll be there”
      In the sense of Venir
      “We’re going to the mall. Do you want to go?”
      “Sure, I’ll go”
      In the sense of Ir

    Another wonderful video! Many thanks for your help in improving my Spanish. I should point out that "Are you coming to the party" implies that I am going to the party and asks an unspoken ''are you coming with me". If I were not going I would ask "Are you going to the party" which might imply that I am not, (although not necessarily). Typically confusing English!!

    Thank you in advance

    • @1lol2lol76
      @1lol2lol76 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kind of old comment but here ya go, buddy. MY two cents:
      Andar = to be somewhere and to be doing something (if that makes any sense)
      Caminar = to walk
      Creer = to believe (in) something\someone
      Pensar = to think
      Entender y comprender = to understand\to comprehend (They pretty much mean the same, what matters is the context and situation)
      Haber = to have
      Ser = to be (allways\permanently\ for a long time) Estoy casado \ I'm married (It can change but it won't last just a brief moment
      Estar = to be (for a while\sometimes) ie. Estoy enojado\a \ I'm upset (You're not upset all the time)
      Recordar y acordarse = to remember (same as entender y comprender)

    I think it's the exact same rules in English. It's just that we brake this rule all the time and nobody knows the difference or just doesnt care. Except your middle school english teacher. I remember being corrected for saying something like "I'm coming to the restaurant" then she'd say "No, you're going" because I wasn't talking to someone who was already at the restaurant

    Forgive me if I've missed something but there is another use in English of the 'coming' phrase that would apply when asking if a person is intending to go to the party in the company of the speaker, or perhaps with a group of friends. Do you not mention that because it doesn't work in Spanish?
